PLUGHITZ Live Presents (Video)

For musicians who want the ability to record their gigs, or for creating a simple home studio, Behringer has created the iStudio. With this dock for the iPad, you can connect instruments, MIDI controls, mics and a lot more.

From music mixing through GarageBand to virtual guitar pedals through Jambox Pro, you will be able to enhance your musical life with the iStudio from Behringer. The device was planned for Q4 2012, but the introduction of the 9pin connector delayed final production. Luckily, we can still expect to see it released this year for $199.

One of the best part of CES is the unique and the unusual. We have possibly the most unique and unusual device from this year's show, the Joystick. This little handheld device has the ability to control nearly anything in your life.

When paired with an Android phone or Windows 8 device, you can use the analog stick on the top as a mouse, similar to using an eraser head pointer on a Lenovo laptop. You can also use the device as a speakerphone for the phone/computer it is paired with, using a speaker designed to sound great for its size.

Now, pair it with your television and turn your TV into an Android device. Add in the hidden keyboard and 1080p screen, and this device is the only remote you might ever need again. It will be available "after carnival season" and will run between $249 and $349.

The idea of audio being spread throughout the house is one that everyone has tried to solve at some point. From power line transmitters/receivers to Bluetooth, everything has been tried. Unfortunately no one has managed to solve the problem in a way everyone will be happy with. That is until now.

Pure has launched a line of wireless speakers designed to produce high-quality audio throughout your house or office, all without wires. The Jongo series of speakers are powered by Bluetooth or WiFi, allowing you to control the music in a single room or from a central location for the entire space.

With the Pure Connect app, you can even stream from your phone to the speakers using your existing WiFi connection. The initial speakers are available now for $229, and the stereo speaker and the hi-fi adapter will be available this summer for $329 and $119 respectively.

If the security of your portable data is a concern for you, then MyIDKey might be just the solution you're looking for. This little USB drive offers a biometric scanner which unlocks the drive when it senses the proper thumbprint.

While the 2GB of storage might seem small, not all of your portable data needs to be secured. This is an ideal size for password files, scripts, business documents, etc. Luckily, if you do need more storage, there is also a 16GB version available.

The 2GB will be available Q2 for $99 and the 16GB will be available for $199.

Our live broadcast of CES 2013 for the Tech Podcast Network was powered all week by two Livestream Broadcasters. The little red boxes are incredibly convenient; all you need is a camera with HDMI and a WiFi connection and you can be broadcasting.

While we were using the first generation of the device, Livestream introduced a new version that removes the requirement for WiFi. The new Broadcaster is Verizon 4G LTE powered and has planned availability for Q2 of this year. As the device is VZW-powered, the price is not yet available.

If you do a lot of on-the-go broadcasting, this is definitely a product you'll want to take a look at.

You could even use this with some speakers to make watching a movie or TV show more pleasant. The Studio Connect will be available this summer for $149.

Before picking up your next guitar, you might want to take a look at what Gibson is doing to enhance your musical life. Gibson's new line of Min-ETune guitars will take the tediousness of tuning out of the equation and let you focus on playing.

While the brand is not new, the concept has been enhanced with the new models. Instead of being in the body, the new guitars have it in the head, keeping it in the player's vision.

In this video you get to see a Les Paul Signature T and a Gibson SG in action.
