God’s will for us is that we live as overcomers. There is a tug of war over our allegiance between the Prince of Peace and the Prince and Power of the Air. Which prince will you allow to reign in your life?
Scripture forewarns us of the enemy’s tactics and schemes. His goal is to drag us down to the pit with him. 2 Corinthians 2:11 states that we are not ignorant of his devices, and Ephesians 6:11 tells us to “put on the whole armor of God….” The good news is that God already has an answer for anything the devil throws at us.
Fear is often at the very root of our inner battles. Risk aversion, lack of self-esteem, dealing with failures, the root of these torments is fear. Senior Pastor Gentry Mangun provides insight on how we can beat this monster through the power of God. Fear can be paralyzing and sometimes the emotion or feeling of fear becomes larger than the actual cause. Facing our fear and claiming our identity in Him are the tenants of this two-step process to defeat this relentless foe.
Following a deep move of the Spirit during worship, Associate Pastor Andrew Cox delves into our greatest defense and our best option to darkness and evil. He is the nemesis of darkness. Does God win? Every time!
God doesn’t want to just be a part of your life; He wants to be the center of your life. So, what does it really mean to let God take the lead? Pastor Ryan synthesizes the answer to this question into three directives: One, we must surrender our plans to him. Secondly, we must examine our motives. And thirdly, commit our works to Him.
Are you tired of living your life as a status quo Christian? Are you beleaguered by the devil’s tactics and have just come to accept what life has thrown at you? Vesta Layne Mangun asks these questions, but she also provides a recipe for how to live an uncommon life. She encourages us to not look at what is and ask “Why?” But instead, we must look at what could be, and ask, “Why not?”
In this enlightening message Senior Pastor Gentry Mangun examines the very essence of God. He proposes that we can know God more by examining mankind as we are made in His image. God desires certain things, just as we do. Chief of which is a desire to be loved. We were created for worship. Do you want to get the attention of God? Bring your best to Him in worship. Is it any wonder that one of the chief tactics of the enemy is to try to steal your worship?
