  • Pocomucho Daily — Ibiza's Closing Season Heats Up
Monday, September 21st, 2026. I'm your host Ben D M Z. From Ibiza, this is Pocomucho Daily.
Ibiza closing season is in full swing, and there's plenty to cover on the island before we get to the wider world. Guy Gerber is set to headline the Beachouse Ibiza Summer Closing on October 17th — dancing barefoot under the autumn stars with Guy and Valentin H among others. HUGEL brings his daylight energy to Ushuaïa this coming Sunday. Ben Hemsley has been announced as a late special guest addition to The Kevin and Perry Experience. And over at Hï Ibiza's Closing Party, the lineup just got a little richer — Gaskin and Laidlaw have been added to what's shaping up to be a serious send-off.
Up to Manchester, where Joshua Brooks is back. The long-running Princess Street club has completed a major refurbishment and threw its relaunch party last weekend with Sam Divine. The changes are significant — the DJ booth has been repositioned to face lengthways down the room, the bar moves to the back, and there's a new green room for artists and guests. The redesigned floor plan and upgraded production suggest the team has thought carefully about the room's energy. Good to see a heritage club investing rather than folding.
In East London, SPORTS BANGER and King Alpha Sound System will headline a fundraising gig marking the 90th anniversary of the Battle of Cable Street. The event takes place at Kachette on October 3rd, organised by Unite the Union, with all ticket proceeds going to striking workers. Politics and the dancefloor, together again.
Los Angeles is preparing to host the first AI Music Awards, where AI-generated artists are set to perform live. According to organisers SIQA, the human creators behind each AI act will be directing the stage. Whether that counts as a live performance rather depends on your definition of the word.
From Berlin, a panel at the Soft Power Festival brought together political candidates ahead of elections to talk about what they'd do for nightlife culture. Representatives from Linke, CDU, Grüne and SPD all made promises around supporting club culture — though as the headline from the original report puts it, the key question hanging over all of it was: who's actually going to pay for it?
Groove Magazine has published part two of their essential compilations of Q3 2026, featuring releases from Running Back, Mala Junta, Miss You, Peach Discs and Bureau B. Worth a dig if you're looking for what's been shaping the underground these past few months.
The Hyper Weekend Festival has confirmed its first names for the 2027 edition. Running January 22nd to 27th at the Maison de la Radio et de la Musique in Paris, the announcement promises a strong start to the new year. Full lineup details to follow.
We Belong Here New Orleans has added underground dance music collective Set De Flo to the lineup for its debut edition, bringing local flavour to what's shaping up to be a notable first run for the festival.
CRSSD Festival Fall 2026 set times and essential info are now out. If you're heading to San Diego, now's the time to plan your weekend.
Finally, Hamburg event series All Clean All Bright is putting out a call for DJs and artists who live sober. The series is actively seeking performers across disciplines for upcoming events — a reminder that the rave community contains multitudes.
Right, where are we going tonight? Of course DC 10 for Circoloco and an astonishing line up: &ME, Apollonia, Dan Ghenacia, Dyed Soundorom, Shonky, Arapu, Chris Stassy, Honey Dijon, Ivan Smagghe, JNJS, Job Jobse, O.BEE, Palms Trax, Priku, Rampa, Saoirse, Sossa, Tania Vulcano, and Tomas Station, yes just that.
That's all folks! Thanks for listening!

  • Pocomucho Daily — NYE @Pacha, Donation & TOP 100 DJs
Thursday, September 17th, 2026. I'm your host Ben D M Z. From Ibiza, this is Pocomucho Daily.
Marco Carola's Music On is ringing in 2027 at Pacha Ibiza on New Year's Eve. If you're thinking ahead — and in Ibiza, you always should be — that's one to lock in early.
Over in Berlin, some good news for the RAW-Gelände. The Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg district has signed an interim lease for the sociocultural spaces at the former industrial site, after the district assembly approved the deal last Wednesday. The district becomes the general tenant, giving clubs, youth work and educational projects two years of security. Not a permanent fix, but in Berlin's ongoing battle to protect its cultural infrastructure, two years is something.
Erol Alkan is teasing the return of Trash. The North London DJ posted on Instagram yesterday, referencing January 2027 — which marks twenty years since the legendary club night closed its doors for the last time. He says he has things to share. No details yet, but the implication is clear enough.
A documentary about Berlin's KitKatClub opened in German cinemas this week. The film, called KitKatClub – Kinks of Berlin, is directed by Philipp Fussenegger and focuses on a number of the venue's regulars. It's described as an unprecedented look inside the iconic club, which has long been a cornerstone of Berlin's fetish and underground scene.
David Guetta has made the opening donation to this year's Top 100 DJs fundraiser for Bridges for Music Academy. The current world number one kicking off the campaign — make of that what you will, but the cause is a good one.
And DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs Awards ceremony is returning to UNVRS. Beyond the venue confirmation, no further details have been released.
And In Toulouse, a collective called RAR Event is taking over Le Cube, a club in the city centre. After three years of operating in unconventional spaces and experimenting with different formats, the team is now putting down roots with a view to developing underground culture from a more permanent base.
Right, what's on tonight — it's DC10, and Solid Groove is the party. Dennis Cruz, Dungeon Meat, Elliot Schooling, Liam Palmer, Georgia, Michael Bibi, Miguelle and Tons, Rossi., Samuel Deep, and Solomun. That is a serious lineup for a Thursday night on this island.
That's all folks! Thanks for listening!

  • Pocomucho Daily — Turkey Crackdown, RA Line-ups and Paris Electronic Week
Wednesday, September 16th, 2026. I'm your host Ben D M Z. From Ibiza, this is Pocomucho Daily.
Serious news out of Turkey first. Authorities there launched a major crackdown on the LGBTQIA+ community over the weekend, raiding gay bars, clubs and queer associations across 15 provinces. More than 162 people were arrested in total, with the offices of six LGBTQIA+ associations targeted as part of a broader operation that saw 1,613 suspects taken into custody. A deeply troubling development for queer nightlife and community life in the country.
Resident Advisor has now revealed the full city-by-city lineups for its RA25 world tour. Running from September 25th through December 5th, the ten-date series hits London, Tokyo, Taipei, New York, Mexico City, Amsterdam, Dublin, Paris, Berlin, and more. The bill features over 70 artists including Marcel Dettmann, Nick León, Bandulu, Tzusing, Introspekt, CC:DISCO!, Joe Claussell, Sugar Free, and Zack Fox. A serious lineup across serious cities.
Paris Electronic Week is back for its 14th edition, returning From September 30th thorugh October 4th. This year's theme — Defending the Future of our Electronic Cultures — puts the focus squarely on industry consolidation, protecting venues and spaces, and tackling discrimination within nightlife. All the conversations the scene needs to be having right now.
Also in France, the Palais des Sports in Grenoble — a venue that hosted the Winter Olympics — is set to host its first-ever techno and rave festival. Nightmare Festival lands on October 31st, 2026, with the venue transformed into what organisers are billing as a nightmare setting. Led by the association CDF Grenoble, it's one of the more unusual venue choices you'll hear about this season.
One Life Infinity Festival is scaling up for its second edition, welcoming nearly 5,000 festival-goers and 36 artists in a château setting — twelve hours of music in what sounds like a genuinely unique environment.
Time Warp has confirmed the details for its debut Los Angeles edition. The two-day event takes place November 27th and 28th at Ace Mission Studios, produced in partnership with Insomniac, and features a lineup of over 30 artists. Time Warp LA — it was only a matter of time.
And in New York, Brunello has announced a special open-air edition of Mellow Circus, taking place at The Ruins at Knockdown Center. He'll be joined by Emanuel Satie and more for what promises to be a strong outdoor moment for the city.
Right, what's on tonight — and it's a good one. Paradise at Hi Ibiza with Jamie Jones headlining, joined by Prospa, Archie Hamilton, Sidney Charles, Luke Dean back-to-back with Locky, Olive F, Bontan, and Luca Saporito. Wednesday nights don't get much better than that.
That's all folks! Thanks for listening!

  • Pocomucho Daily — Galactica Closes, Manumission Returns, Ibiza Lives
Tuesday, September 15, 2026. I'm your host Ben D M Z. From Ibiza, this is Pocomucho Daily.
It's a big night on the island — and a bittersweet one. Galactica wraps up its summer residency at Eden Ibiza in San Antonio today, marking the close of the itinerant techno festival's first full season here. Running from May through September, it's been quite a debut for the brand on the island. Whether it returns next year, we'll be watching.
Also on the Ibiza front — Manumission is back. The legendary party returns to 5 2 8 for what's being billed as the ultimate 90s revival, with Carl Craig and David Morales on the bill alongside immersive theatrical elements. Classic Manumission energy, different era.
And Max and Luke Dean have linked up with UK rapper Nafe Smallz on a new track called 'Not A Problem', pitched as an Ibiza anthem for the season.
Black Coffee has called on Afrobeats heavyweight Wizkid to join him at his UNVRS project. No further details yet, but that's a pairing that needs no further selling.
Over to Milan, where Vision continues to cement its reputation as one of Italy's most serious electronic music institutions. Solomun, Michael Bibi, and Chris Stussy are all set for Vision's September events — programming that, as ever, coincides with Fashion Week season in the city.
Amsterdam Dance Event has cut ties with two promoters — Komplott and Overgave — following their decision to book French hard techno DJ Shlømo despite allegations against him. ADE has ended its official cooperation with both organisations. A clear line drawn, publicly.
In Berlin, some breathing room for the clubs on the RAW site in Friedrichshain. The Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg district assembly has approved an application that, for now, averts the immediate threat of eviction for the cultural venues there. Not a permanent fix, but the fight continues.
In France, Parisian agency RAW is raising the alarm over the so-called Ripost law, warning that the legislation is placing serious financial and administrative pressure on independent event organisers. The French electronic scene has been vocal about the challenges it faces — this adds another chapter.
On a more celebratory note from France — a new open-air concept called Marée Électronique is launching on September 19, positioned on the Couesnon dam, blending DJ sets with VJing against a heritage backdrop. First edition, unique setting. Worth keeping an eye on.
Over to New York, where Resolute and Aionia have joined forces for an all-women showcase this Thursday, September 18, at Brooklyn's H0L0. Paula Tape and Lena Willikens headline across both rooms. Strong billing.
Looking further ahead — Zamna Tulum has announced its tenth-anniversary season, running December 31, 2026 through January 10, 2027. A three-event Multipass is available now. No artist names yet, which is a bold move for a ten-day anniversary edition — but Zamna has the reputation to pull it off.
And Melbourne's Let Them Eat Cake has revealed its 2027 lineup. The New Year's Day one-dayer at The Nursery At Flemington in Naarm features Anetha, Joy Orbison, Lady Shaka, Jennifer Loveless, Boys Noize, Wax'o Paradiso, Juicy Romance, Chaos In The CBD, plus a b2b from C.FRIM and MIRASIA. A strong way to open the year.
Right, where are we going tonight? It's Pikes Presents Detroit Love over at 528 — Moodymann, Carl Craig, Idriss D, Mirko Loko, and Ryan O'Gorman. Detroit love indeed. That one speaks for itself.
That's all folks! Thanks for listening!

  • Pocomucho Daily — Youth Vs. The Island That Never Sleeps
Monday, September 14th, 2026. I'm your host Ben D M Z. From Ibiza, this is Pocomucho Daily.
Let's start here on the island, where more than 100 young people took to the streets last weekend to protest against mass tourism. The demonstration was organised by the Ibiza Youth Association and took place on Cala Saladeta beach in San Antonio on September 6th. Protesters held placards calling for restrictions on tourism, rallying against what they described as overrun and unaffordable conditions on the island. The association says its mission is to build community, share cultural concerns, and keep local traditions alive. Worth paying attention to — this is an island where the club economy runs deep, and the tension between that world and the people who actually live here isn't going away.
A new documentary about Ukraine's underground club scene is set to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival today. Black Sunflowers follows twentysomething Ukrainians navigating life against the backdrop of war and underground club nights. The soundtrack features Aphex Twin, Brian Eno, Four Tet, and Fred again.. — a genuinely striking lineup for what sounds like a genuinely important film. Keep an eye on this one.
Goldenvoice has announced a brand new festival called Head Trip, scheduled for October 10th and 11th at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California — yes, the same site as Coachella. The lineup includes Calvin Harris, Fisher B2B with Chris Lake, Peggy Gou B2B with our Tet, The Blessed Madonna, and DJ Harvey, among others. Two days, Indio in October — that's a strong opening statement for a new event.
Modeselektor have announced a new album. It's called MDSLKTR, it's twelve tracks, and it arrives January 22nd via Monkeytown Records. The lead single is out now — it's called Aorta. The Berlin duo developed the record in their Berlin studio, and if the single is anything to go by, it sounds like they're in sharp form.
Berlin club Renate is throwing a 66-hour nonstop party to mark its 19th birthday. The celebration comes after a tough stretch for the venue — disputes with its landlord, a fire, and a lengthy renovation. Sixty-six hours straight. Renate has earned it.
In Paris, electronic music bar Liebe in the 9th arrondissement has unveiled some upgrades for the 2026 season — an enlarged dancefloor, improved sound, and a new cocktail menu. The two-floor venue runs electronic music through the night. Small venue news, but the kind of place that matters to a city's scene.
Dutch-Nigerian DJ and producer S!RENE has been forced to cancel a Berlin performance this weekend after being attacked. She was due to play OFF-SEASON alongside BRII, PLAYBOI PAPI, SILVR aka CHANELLA, and Lâm. No further details have been confirmed, but the show will not go ahead as planned. Wishing her a full recovery.
UKG pioneer Shy Cookie is marking ten years of The House & Garage Orchestra. A decade of bringing UK garage and house together in an orchestral format — a proper milestone for a project that's carved out its own lane.
And Movement Detroit 2027 early access is coming up soon. If you're planning ahead — and for Movement, you probably should be — details on how to secure early access are available now.
Now, what's on tonight in Ibiza. We are going to Cova Santa for Pyramid Carry On with Josh Baker, Luciano B2B with Ricardo Villalobos, Caal, Luca Donzelli and Mar-T.
That's all folks! thanks for listening!

  • Pocomucho Daily — Testbed Rises, another @Destino, Silencio at Watergate
Friday, September 11th, 2026. I'm your host Ben D M Z. From Ibiza, this is Pocomucho Daily.
One for the road out of Ibiza — Destino Five has announced an extra Music On daytime party, giving the season one final push before the curtain comes down's. On Thursday 1 October, Carola will be joined by FLOW final boss and man of the moment Franky Rizardo as well as Ilario Alicante and Mason Collective.
Over in Leeds, Testbed is coming back. The venue has announced its reopening party lineup following a serious refurbishment — Annie Mac and Horse Meat Disco are both on the bill. The space has more than doubled in size, going from 10,000 square feet to 23,000, and the overhaul includes a new soundsystem and layout changes. Next month, Leeds gets its room back.
Meanwhile, Silencio — the Paris club with connections to the late David Lynch — is planting a flag in Berlin. The venue is taking over the former Watergate space on Falckensteinstraße for a seven-month pop-up called Silencio Berlin, part of its 15th birthday celebrations. It officially opens October 30th. A pre-opening night already happened, featuring Richie Hawtin, Ben Klock, BASHKKA and Valentina Magaletti. The Watergate sat empty for over 20 months — now it's got a new life, at least for a while.
Maceo Plex is among the guests lined up for Adriatique's X double-header at UNVRS. More details to follow on that one.
Carl Cox is contributing to a landmark project celebrating Renegade Soundwave. He's reworking the 1989 classic "The Phantom" for Jack Said What's RSW Rewired release, out September 24th.
Mark Farina's Mushroom Jazz turns 35, and the anniversary is being marked at ZeyZey Miami on October 31st. Thirty-five years of funky instrumental hip-hop, soulful downtempo and blunted beats — and it still sounds like nothing else.
A deep dive worth your time: a new feature traces how Meat Beat Manifesto's "Radio Babylon" became an accidental anthem for breakbeat hardcore. Built almost entirely from samples and initially met with raised eyebrows, it gradually got picked up by proto-jungle producers emerging from the rave scene, with DJs like Hype, Krust, Jumpin Jack Frost and Fabio and Grooverider all running with it. A fascinating piece of dance music archaeology.
Sad news from Scotland. The Skinny, the Edinburgh-based cultural magazine that has covered music, arts and culture for over two decades, is closing. The team announced it on Instagram, writing: "After 20 years of independent cultural journalism and with a very heavy heart, we have to tell you that September's edition of The Skinny is our final issue." Twenty-one years. A genuine loss for independent arts media.
A few more stories in brief. ADE 2026 has unveiled a second wave of artists to mark its thirtieth anniversary — a massive lineup befitting the occasion. Beatport Connect LA has shared its full artist and speaker list, with Alison Wonderland, Elderbrook, TOKiMONSTA and MPH among 53 names confirmed, alongside representatives from WME, YouTube and SoundCloud. Tomorrowland Winter has announced its 2027 sale dates, with the first packages going on sale in October. Shadowlands Festival 2027 has revealed its full lineup — 35 acts for the new boutique international event.
Ok now, what are we doing this weekend? Well tonight we going to Hï for CamelPhat present Summer of Love, with Butch, Volkoder, Ewan McVicar, Roman Flügel and Maslow Unknown alongside them. Saturday, few ill be at 5 2 8 for Kruder and Dorfmeister doing a sunset set, Giles Peterson, MC Rob Galliano, El Conchitas, George FitzGerald and Romeren. And Sunday, meet us at Amnesia for Pyramid with Ricardo Villalobos back to back with Luciano, plus Francesco Del Garda, Saoirse, Marco Faraone and Nina Kraviz. That's a weekend.
That's all folks! Thanks for listening!

  • Pocomucho Daily — Ibiza Closes Out, Detroit Speaks Up
Thursday, September 10th, 2026. I'm your host Ben D M Z. From Ibiza, this is Pocomucho Daily.
Let's start with a few Ibiza stories before we get into the wider world. Max Dean has put together a tight-knit ensemble for upcoming shows at 528 Ibiza and Amnesia as part of the NEXUP series — details are still coming through but the lineup looks like a carefully curated affair. Over at 528 Ibiza, stage splits have been announced for Cocoon's final party of the summer — another chapter closing on what's been a big season for the brand at that venue. And the Love Letter to Ibiza Town portside event — which already turned heads earlier this season — is getting a second date, described as unprecedented, and you will get a sneak pick at the location and the stage building in the episode 12 of Pocomucho coming out tomorrow!
Serious news now, and important. Rick Wade, the Detroit DJ and producer, is recovering from a heart attack. He confirmed the news on Instagram on September 7th, revealing he was also diagnosed with pulmonary edema, atrial fibrillation and a respiratory infection. He's now home recovering. In his own words, he said he doesn't pretend to know exactly what caused it, but pointed towards lack of rest as a likely factor. Wishing Rick a full and steady recovery.
The Warehouse Project has revealed details of its flagship 20th anniversary show, taking place at Depot Mayfield in Manchester this November. The headline event will feature sets from Rossi., Saoirse, Bullet Tooth and Enzo Siragusa. Two decades of WHP — and by the look of that lineup, they're not phoning it in.
Berlin's Renate is turning 19 this weekend, and they're doing it the only way they know how — a 66-hour marathon running from Friday September 11th through to the 14th. The lineup includes Mary Lake, Angel D'lite, David Fogarty, Amy Dabbs, Dana Ruh, Sansibar, Stenny and DJ Pete, with b2b sets from Bell Towers and JM Moser, and John Loveless alongside Daniel — among others. Nearly three days of music. Berlin, never change.
Also out of Berlin, a new kink club called ROSA is taking shape in the Pankow district. Safeguarding consultant Karl Verboten and night manager Dragan gave a tour of the construction site, with Verboten noting that the community it serves has its own dress code, its own vocabulary and its own values. One to watch as it takes form.
Glastonbury 2027 has announced its ticket on-sale date — and the price has now passed £400. For that, you get access to what the festival describes as four thousand performances across more than a hundred stages and five nights of camping. The date is out, so mark your calendars accordingly.
A quick cultural note — Liebe, a two-floor electro bar in the 9th arrondissement of Paris, has reopened for its 2026 season with an enlarged dance floor, upgraded sound system and a new cocktail menu. Small venue upgrades, but the kind that matter on a night out.
Music Summit Malta is making its debut, bringing together what it's billing as the next generation of music and technology. The inaugural edition marks Malta's arrival on the conference circuit.
Refuge NYC is turning one. New York's so-called best-kept secret is celebrating with a full month of birthday programming. A year in, and clearly still building momentum.
Ok now, what's on tonight? If you're in Ibiza, there's really only one answer — DC10 for Solid Groove. The lineup is stacked: Aline Umber, ANOTR, Carlita, Dan Ghenacia, Djebali, Maher Daniel, Marco Carola, Pawsa, Reelow and Rossko. That's a serious way to spend a Thursday.
That's all folks! Thanks for listening!

  • Pocomucho Daily — Adriatique, Free Ports, And A Tough Break
Wednesday, September 9th, 2026. I'm your host Ben D M Z. From Ibiza, this is Pocomucho Daily.
Chinois Ibiza is bringing PORTSIDE back to Ibiza Port this Friday, September 11th — a second free open-air music night at the port, building on what clearly landed well the first time around. Chinois resident Mahmut Orhan and Major League DJz will be taking on the decks, along with Melanie Ribbe B2B Manu Gonzalez and Andrea Lane.
Adriatique have confirmed two Ibiza dates under their X audiovisual series, landing at UNIVERSE on September 17th and 24th. It's their headline debut at the venue, with Maceo Plex, Mano Le Tough, Son of Son, Emanuel Satie and more also featuring across the two nights.
Sad news out of the UK — Tola Peckham has launched a fundraiser after a break-in on August 27th left them without roughly thirty thousand pounds worth of equipment. DJ gear, soundsystem components, bar stock, card readers — all gone. As they put it: "Unfortunately, they got the lot."
Burning Man 2026 has now seen three deaths at this year's event in Black Rock City. Sampson Tshombe, in his mid-fifties, suffered a medical emergency confirmed on Friday September 4th. Craigh Mann, 60, was found dead in his camp the following day. A third death was confirmed on Monday. The organisation has separately announced that the theme for 2027 will be Spellbound, centred on the mechanics of enchantment, led by Stuart Mangrum.
Velocity Press has published a new book celebrating twenty years of Rupture — the London jungle and drum & bass night and label co-founded by Double O and Mantra back in 2006. Two decades of keeping it underground, documented properly.
Maceo Plex makes his Rekids debut with the three-track Monster EP, featuring Baby Monsta, out now on Radio Slave's label.
VRIL is back on Delsin with a new record called KRUX — described as a new direction built on the foundations the Dutch label and the German producer have established together over the years.
Over in Geneva, the Festival du Soir runs from October 16th to 30th, transforming Palexpo into a large-scale nocturnal event space. Paul Kalkbrenner, Hysta and Vladimir Cauchemar are among the names headlining this year's edition.
Unheard Music has launched a new initiative called Unheard | Heard — an open call for producers to submit unreleased music, with the aim of platforming emerging artists and underground expression.
EDC Mexico has revealed its theme for 2027 — kineticJOURNEY. Tickets go back on sale next week.
Alright now, where are we going tonight? well, Mau P takes over with Baddest Behaviour — he's joined by DJ Tennis, Nic Fanciulli, Mita Gami and Brunello so, yes we going there!!!
That's all folks! Thanks for listening!

  • Pocomucho Daily — Manchester Opens, Chicago Expands, Garnier Gets A Book
Tuesday, September 8th, 2026. I'm your host Ben D M Z. From Ibiza, this is Pocomucho Daily.
Manchester is getting a new club. Locker opens next month at the New Century building — a 450-capacity room built into the ground floor, designed to flex between live shows and club nights. Audio specialists Adlib have fitted it out with a full L-Acoustics sound system and proper sound isolation. Nooriyah and Paranoid London are playing the opening weekend.
Chicago's Bridgeport Records is expanding. Their team — co-owners Vick Lavender and Jerry Morris — are opening Onion City Records on Chicago Avenue in West Town. It soft-launched back in mid-July, and the official grand opening is this Saturday, September 12th.
A new biography of Laurent Garnier is out. Written by philosopher and essayist Mathilde Ramadier — who has been following his career for over a decade — the book draws on extensive conversations with Garnier and traces his journey from teenage bedroom DJ to one of the defining figures in European electronic music. It's published by Éditions les Pérégrines.
A short documentary about the corporatisation of UK festivals landed on YouTube last Sunday. Journalist Simon Doherty's 25-minute film — titled Festivals Have Become a Data Collection Dystopia — uses Boomtown as its case study, asking the question: when hyper-commodification and public safety concerns collide, where do we draw the line on privacy?
The UK music industry is pushing back against new EU export fees. UK Music and the Association of Independent Music have issued a joint statement calling on the government to address what they're describing as damaging new charges introduced by the EU on July 1st for small packages — fees that have significantly increased the cost of shipping vinyl records and merch to Europe.
Two people have died at Burning Man 2026. The deaths are unrelated to each other, and no cause of death has been officially confirmed for either.
Anyma has addressed the cancellation of his Istanbul show, which was part of his ÆDEN tour. The A/V show was pulled after social media posts accused the artist of using Satanic imagery.
Armand Van Helden is heading to Sydney. The Grammy-nominated house pioneer has been added to the 2026/27 lineup for THE WORKS Warehouse Series at Carriageworks — joining Overmono, Jayda G, and KI/KI.
Bonobo has announced a UK and European tour for early 2027. Simon Green will take his brand new Bonobo Live show across the continent in February and March, including a return to London's Alexandra Palace.
Kompakt is releasing TOTAL 26, the latest edition of its long-running compilation series. The new instalment features Orlando Voorn, Adam Ten, Robag Wruhme, and more.
Rex Club is back with a strong September programme — welcoming both established DJing legends and emerging talent to the Paris institution. To name a few: Paula Tape, Jen Cardini, Shonky, Kevin Saunderson, Kerri Chandler, DJ Deep, Max Cooper, and DJ Hell.
Now, where are we going tonight? 5 2 8 it is — Groove Armada are playing a DJ set alongside Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Prosumer, and Bushwacka!
That's all folks! Thanks for listening!

  • Pocomucho Daily — Fake Wristbands Pills And Progress Friday
Friday, September 4th, 2026. I'm your host Ben D M Z. From Ibiza, this is Pocomucho Daily.
A man has been arrested in Ibiza for allegedly selling fake DC-10 wristbands at €350 a pop. No further details on the suspect yet, but if you're heading to DC-10 this season, make sure you're buying through official channels only.
A serious warning out of the Netherlands. Dutch health officials have issued a red alert after Trump-shaped ecstasy pills were found to contain PMMA — a highly dangerous substance. PMMA is significantly more toxic than MDMA and has been linked to deaths. If you encounter these pills, do not take them.
Good news out of Australia. Pill testing is now permanently enshrined at festivals in New South Wales. The Australian Festival Association describes these as "life-saving services equipping festival goers with crucial information to make safer choices." A landmark moment for harm reduction in the region.
Over to Berlin, where the Club Commission has cut ties with the Musikbrauerei venue over its connections to the far-right scene. Among the issues flagged: the venue hosted what was called the "First Alternative Media Fair," with involvement from the publication Compact and the party dieBasis. The Club Commission made clear it has no place for such associations within Berlin's club culture.
Future Yard in Birkenhead has shared its inaugural programme ahead of an autumn launch. The new 600-capacity indoor venue, part-funded by crowdfunding, is nearing completion at its outdoor site on Argyle Street in Merseyside. Among the acts confirmed for its Autumn/Winter programme are Grandmaster Flash, Irvine Welsh, Squid, James Lavelle, Holly Humberstone, African Head Charge, and corto.alto.
Resident Advisor has revealed its lineup for the Making Time infinity stage at this year's Philadelphia festival. The bill includes Skee Mask, Aurora Halal b2b Verraco, Dopplereffekt, Optimo Espacio, Erol Alkan, Batu, Mark Ernestus, and Paula Tape. Strong showing.
Carlita has announced her sophomore album, *Telepathy*, arriving November 6th on Ninja Tune. The announcement comes with a new single called "One More Dance," featuring Stevie Appleton. The album is said to expand on Carlita's existing sound.
The Avalanches have shared the full tracklist for their new album — their first since *We Will Always Love You* in 2020. The record features collaborations with Barry Can't Swim, Jessy Lanza, Jamie xx, and more. No release date specified in the announcement.
Disco Pogo has announced a Boards of Canada tribute book, coming just months after the reclusive Scottish duo released their first album in 13 years.
Club Space in Miami has announced it will match donations to the Global Empowerment Network one-to-one in support of earthquake relief efforts in Colombia, through September 30th.
Goldenvoice has dropped a first look at the stage design for Head Trip, its one-time-only event in October. The design comes from High Scream the creative production company co-funded by Romain Pissenem.
Armin van Buuren and Laidback Luke have joined AI music company Moises as advisors. The company states its model is trained exclusively on licensed and authorised content.
Decoded Magazine's book of the month is *UK Rave Flyers 1990–1991* — the second volume in phatmedia's rave flyers trilogy, documenting the two years that transformed rave from an underground movement into something much bigger.
Now, where are we going this weekend? Tonight, it's Music On at Pacha with Marco Carola, Damian Lazarus and Dennis Ferrer. Saturday we are taking it easy at Ushuaïa for ANTS with Franky Rizardo, Riordan, Chelina Manuhutu, Dennis Quin and Raul Rodriguez. And Sunday we are going to Universe as Carl Cox is inviting Sasha!
That's all folks! Thanks for listening!
