Manumission is back. The legendary party has confirmed the return of Le Théâtre Pink Pussy at 5 2 8, with a six-hour set as part of the revival. No further details yet, but the name alone will mean something to anyone who was there the first time around.

Let's start with the closing parties, because the end of season is very much in the air here on the white isle. Hï Ibiza, Ushuaïa, and UNiVeRSe have all revealed their closing party lineups — firm favourites, special guests, and stacked rosters across the board. UNiVeRSe is powering down after what's been described as a monster second season, signing off with their Mission 2026 event. And over at Ushuaïa, ANTS has unveiled a stacked lineup for their final chapter of the summer. The closing stretch is here, and it sounds like the island intends to go out swinging.

Staying in the neighbourhood, there's a piece making the rounds asking what it's actually like to party in Mallorca now that Ibiza has priced out most of its audience. The report, which looked at a night at the AMØK Club featuring Cro and Bootshaus, paints a picture of a more relaxed pace, mini dresses, linen trousers, and acrobatics included. The cost-of-living reality of Ibiza is clearly pushing both promoters and partygoers to explore alternatives.

Back in the United States, Breakaway Festival is wrapping up what it's calling its biggest year in Texas with the Houston edition — the final stop on a 13-city 2026 tour. Big news on the island — and it could reshape Ibiza's future as a nightlife destination. The Consell d'Eivissa has put forward proposals to stop issuing new nightclub licences on the island entirely. No new clubs. If that goes through, the map of Ibiza nightlife essentially gets frozen where it is. I will let you be the judge of that.

Also in Ibiza, Burna Boy brought serious global star power to O Beach for the Luna Loca launch, and Paradise has just announced a back-to-back-to-back for the ages happening this week. No further details yet, but that phrasing alone has people paying attention.

Now to some genuinely sad news. Damian Lazarus has lost his studio in Tuscany to a fire caused by a lightning strike. The artist shared a statement saying, "I'm devastated, of course, but I'm reminded that everything is impermanent." A tough blow — but a graceful response.

Italy's leading clubs have mapped out their Ferragosto weekend music programmes, with venues from Lignano Sabbiadoro to the Gallura coastline, Jesolo, Tuscany and the Romagna Riviera all putting together lineups for the long holiday weekend. Ferragosto remains one of the most important dates on the Italian clubbing calendar.

Over in Berlin, there's movement on the old Watergate site, which has been sitting empty for about a year and a half. Property developer Gijora Padovicz has announced plans for a new club in the space, claiming to have secured an internationally successful club operator as a tenant. No further details on who that operator might be just yet.

Rainbow Disco Club is crossing borders. The beloved Japanese festival is holding its first-ever event in Singapore this October — a two-day gathering at Tanjong Pagar Distripark, an industrial arts and creative compound near the city's waterfront. The programme is split across three sessions: a day and night on October 3rd, and an afternoon on October 4th. DJ Nobu, Kuniyuki and Antal are among the acts confirmed.

Leeds venue TESTBED is coming back. The 2,500-capacity club will officially relaunch in September following a significant renovation. It's eclipse week on the island, and Ibiza is leaning all the way in. Café Mambo is hosting a solar eclipse event this coming week — promising something genuinely out of this world, their words. Over at Beachouse Ibiza, Guy Gerber will be soundtracking the rare 2026 total solar eclipse with his atmospheric house sets. Dancing in the dark takes on a whole new meaning. And Pikes gets in on it too — DJ Harvey headlines an Eclipse Special as part of the Pikes Presents series, Tuesday nights at 528 Ibiza, digging deep into the music that made this island what it is.

Darker Than Wax is turning 15 and doing it properly. The Singapore and New York-based label kicked off its anniversary celebrations earlier this year with parties in Singapore, Seoul and Bangkok. Ibiza Global Radio has announced a partnership with UNTOLD Festival, as the Romanian festival unveils what it's calling its most spectacular main stage yet.

The French hard music scene is mobilising in response to wildfires in the South West of France, putting together a 24-hour charity stream with a host of DJs to support the victims.

Edinburgh's Fringe Festival kicks off tomorrow, running through August 31st, and if you're heading up, Resident Advisor has done the legwork on the best electronic events across the month. This year's edition spans 3,649 shows across 258 venues, with local crews and international guests both getting a look in. Worth bookmarking their guide if the Fringe is on your radar.

Zurich's Street Parade is this Saturday — its 33rd edition, back on the shores of Lake Zurich. One of the biggest free electronic music events in the world, and it comes around fast every summer.

Splash House has revealed its lineups for its 2026 Palm Springs double weekender. Two back-to-back weekends — August 7th through 9th, and August 14th through 16th — taking over the Renaissance, The Saguaro, and Hilton hotels. Details are out now if you're planning either run.

Jacques Greene has announced a new solo album titled *jg*. The Canadian electronic musician released a collaborative album with Nosaj Thing last year under the name Verses GT, and now he's back on his own terms. The record features contributions from crushed, CFCF, Jonah Yano, SEES00000, and others. Lead track "Presence" is out now.

Beatport Connect LA is returning for its second year in Hollywood. The electronic music conference is back with what's described as a cleaner, sharper focus — cutting through the noise that tends to swallow these kinds of events whole.

Decoded Magazine has published a new list of twelve electronic music documentaries, following up on a similar roundup from last summer. The new selection spans Detroit Techno through to Belgian New Beat. Worth a watch if you're after something for the sofa.

Over in Toulouse, Le Pain Bénit Festival is making a move — on August 22nd, the 17th-century Château de Bonrepos-Riquet will host an open-air techno edition of the event, which is building a reputation as one of the standout dates on the Toulouse electronic scene.

A broader cultural note: psytrance appears to be gaining ground across Europe, moving beyond its longtime position on the fringes. Specialist festivals are reportedly selling out and lineups are diversifying. Something to watch.

ok now, what's on tonight in Ibiza? Universe is headlined by FISHER alongside Loco Dice — that's going to be a room. Pacha has Pure Pacha with Purple Disco Machine, Dombresky, Breakbot and Irfane, and Blu De Tiger. Amnesia's You & Me night brings Josh Baker, Joseph Capriati, and Saoirse. At Akasha, Sven Väth presents T.R.A.N.C.E. Destino is running Pacha Icons in daytime mode with Marco Carola's Music On, joined by Damian Lazarus and Max Dean. Chinois has a deep lineup featuring Eats Everything, Hannah Wants, Low Steppa, Todd Edwards, and Ellie Scougall. And DC10 has Solid Groove — ANOTR, Beltran, Ben Sterling, CAP, Gaskin, Joss Dean, Mariiin, Paramida, PAWSA, and Skream. A lot of island to cover tonight.

Resident Advisor has confirmed the lineup for the London leg of its RA25 world tour. The ten-date global run kicks off at Outernet on September 25th, coinciding with AVA London 2026. Mala and AliA will play DJ sets, while Blawan and Bitter Babe bring live performances — with Bitter Babe premiering a specially commissioned AV show backed by the British Council.

Resident Advisor has also taken a deep dive into Amelie Lens' EXHALE platform, tracing its journey from no-frills Belgian parties a decade ago into a full-scale global ecosystem — now spanning a label, an events arm, and a community built around supporting and shaping techno's next generation.

Also in the spotlight this week — BIIANCO. The artist has been one of electronic music's harder-to-ignore stories over recent years, with infectious tracks, high-energy sets and a string of viral moments. Also out of Berlin, Diáne Zillmer has been discussing the Miller-Zillmer Foundation's exhibition "Island of Time" at Silent Green. Across five questions, she introduces the foundation's work — which ranges from supporting indigenous art to synthesizer preservation. Her framing: music is both a witness to its time and an archive of it.

Across to the US, where LED Presents has announced Temper — a brand-new electronic music event coming to Petco Park in San Diego on December 30th. The inaugural edition promises three stages spanning club, experimental and techno, positioning itself as a forward-thinking way to close out the year.

Independent house label Sampled Detroit is back. Founder Chuck Daniels has relaunched the imprint with a curated collection of six of his most celebrated remixes, including a newly remastered version of his acclaimed rework of Andy Toth and Billy Love's "Thrillseekers." Good to have it back.

Solomun has released a long-form film documenting his sold-out shows at London's Alexandra Palace, which took place on February 6th and 7th this year. The film premiered on his official YouTube channel on July 23rd — a proper document of what by all accounts were two significant nights.

And MIRA Festival has revealed its 2026 lineup as it marks its 15th anniversary at Fira Montjuïc in Barcelona this November. Leading the bill: Arca, Max Cooper, and Shygirl, among others. Fifteen years at one of Europe's most distinctive art and music crossover events — worth keeping on the radar.

Now, what's on tonight in Ibiza? A LOT. Universe hosts Paradise with Jamie Jones back-to-back with Chris Stussy — that's a pairing worth showing up early for. Ushuaïa goes big with Tomorrowland presents, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike headlining. Pacha opens the Baddest Behaviour season with Mau P going all night long. Amnesia brings Resistance Ibiza — Adam Beyer, Eric Prydz and Maceo Plex all on the same bill. Cova Santa has Rumors with Guy Gerber and Lee Burridge. Playa Soleil Bora Bora runs Sunwaves Ibiza with Marco Faraone, Cristina Lazic, LEON, Priku and Shonky. And Chinois has Mahmut Orhan, Volkoder, and Benja back-to-back with Franc Fala.
