  • Victoria writer Daisy Goodwin on history vs drama, gender politics and modern echoes
SPOILER WARNING: This podcast was recorded just after Series 3, Episode 4, when London is hit by a cholera outbreak.

Historical drama Victoria reigns supreme for ITV on Sunday nights - and has an empire abroad too on PBS and others.

Writer Daisy Goodwin joins Pod Save The Queen host Ann Gripper to discuss where history and drama meet, and why you can still have spoilers when you are writing about history. They also discuss womens' limited power at the time, why the Victorian age fascinates and its echoes with Queen Elizabeth II's reign. But what would Victoria think of Brexit...? • Meghan's baby bump holding and all the royal body language secrets
Meghan Markle's pregnancy has been notable for many things: the dramatic announcement as the royal tour began, the designer wardrobe - and cradling her bump throughout.

The Duchess of Sussex has had a busy programme of engagements over the last few months, which have given royal watchers plenty of opportunities to observe how she is settling into royal life.

Pod Save The Queen host Ann Gripper spoke to body language expert Judi James to discover why Meghan has been so keen to hold her bump - and the other signals the royals are sending.

And it has not yet been revealed where Baby Sussex will be making an appearance.

Pod Save The Queen host Ann Gripper is joined by Mirror royal editor Russell Myers, style director Amber Graafland and writer Zoe Forsey to discuss what we do and don't know about the next royal arrival.

They also discuss the pros and cons of royals' perfect poses on the hospital steps, what their life will be like in Windsor and what the baby might be called.  For information regarding your data privacy, visit acast.com/privacy

Pod Save The Queen host Ann Gripper is joined by Daily Mirror style director Amber Graafland, beauty writer Zoe Cripps and fashion assistant Megan Rees to pick their highlights.

  • Meghan and Harry's new household
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have some big changes coming up: they are moving house, becoming parents - and setting up their own royal household.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex reportedly originally wanted an independent setup, but instead will have their office based at Buckingham Palace with the Queen's.
The Kensington Palace staff seem set to remain with Prince William and Kate, but the Sussexes have hired a big name for their first appointment: Sara Latham, who worked on Hillary Clinton's Presidential campaign.
Pod Save the Queen host Ann Gripper is joined by royal editor Russell Myers and style director Amber Graafland to discuss the big changes for the Fab Four.
They also talk about recent royal visits to Morocco and Northern Ireland, as well as share readers' comments on their discussion of Meghan's baby shower.

  • Meghan's jetset week from New York baby shower to Morocco visit
With two months to go until her baby arrives, Meghan Markle shows no signs of slowing down just yet.
The Duchess of Sussex flew to New York this week to enjoy a luxury baby shower with her showbiz friends, including Serena Williams, Priyanka Chopra and Abigail Spencer.
Getting together with your friends before such a radical life change is always fun, and the American tradition has been catching on in the UK too, but the scale of the bash thrown for Meghan has drawn some criticism.
Pod Save the Queen host Ann Gripper debates the issues with royal editor Russell Myers and reporter Zoe Forsey.
And they look ahead to Meghan's trip to Morocco with Prince Harry, where protests around the anniversary of the Arab Spring have raised security concerns. For information regarding your data privacy, visit acast.com/privacy

  • Kate the surprise speaker and red carpet queen in busy royal week
Kate Middleton has brought the wow factor this week.

The Duchess of Cambridge dazzled in two beautiful designer dresses at the BAFTAs and 100 Women In Finance awards, not to mention a Chanel tweed suit for a mental health conference. But the speech she gave at a conference about mental health in education was extra special: personal and spontaneous.

Daily Mirror royal editor Russell Myers brings the stories behind the royal engagements to this week’s Pod Save The Queen while style director Amber Graafland offers her fashion insights.

Host Ann Gripper and the team also discuss Meghan Markle’s latest speech, engagements for William, Harry, Camilla and the Queen, and the returning headache of Thomas Markle. For information regarding your data privacy, visit acast.com/privacy

  • Secrets of Princess Diana's fashion story
Princess Diana is a style icon - an unlikely destiny for a woman reputed to own only four outfits when she became engaged to Prince Charles.
The story of how she transformed from a teenager who loved to borrow clothes from family and friends into a fashion inspiration is told in the Diana: Her Fashion Story exhibition at Kensington Palace.
Pod Save The Queen host Ann Gripper and Daily Mirror style director Amber Graafland were lucky enough to be given a private guided tour by assistant curator Isabella Coraça.
Join them as they walk through the exhibition for a fascinating insight into Diana’s style and how effectively she used her fashion choices to orchestrate her public image.
The exhibition also explores the close relationship Diana developed with her favourite designers though original fashion sketches. Highlights include the Victor Edelstein gown Diana famously wore at the White House when she danced with John Travolta and a Versace dress worn in 1991 for a portrait taken by Patrick Demarchelier that was later featured on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar following her untimely death in 1997.
The exhibition runs until February 17. For information regarding your data privacy, visit acast.com/privacy

  • Prince Philip crashes into PR disaster
Prince Philip walked away after his Landrover was involved in a crash near the Sandringham estate - and straight into a PR disaster.
The proudly independent Duke of Edinburgh has always loved driving. He has a reputation as a daredevil, even apparently threatening to throw the Queen out of the car when she didn't like the speed he was going.
Initial relief that he walked away unscathed merged with concern for the 97-year-old continuing to drive. But his reappearance two days later driving without a seat belt caused anger, as has the treatment of the others involved in the collision.
Pod Save the Queen host Ann Gripper is joined by Daily Mirror royal editor Russell Myers to discuss whether it is the end of the road for the Duke of Edinburgh behind the wheel.
