  • Meghan Markle gets to work as patron
Meghan Markle has officially taken up her first four patronages - and made her first visit as patron.
The Duchess of Sussex had been tipped to take over from the Queen as patron of the National Theatre, and also added roles working with an animal welfare charity, a charity helping women back into work and the Association of Commonwealth Universities.
She kicked off her time as patron with a visit to Smart Works in West London.
Pod Save The Queen host Ann Gripper was joined by royal correspondent Russell Myers and style director Amber Graafland to discuss Meghan's new jobs.
They also discussed Prince William's visit to the London Air Ambulance, upcoming engagements for the Sussexes and Cambridges - plus the final scores for royal engagements and fashion bills in 2018.  For information regarding your data privacy, visit acast.com/privacy

  • Behind Meghan and Harry's move to Windsor
The royal family is assembling at Sandringham for Christmas, with the Sussexes and the Cambridge family among the guests.
The family time comes during a period of increased attention on the relationship between William and Harry, Kate and Meghan after the announcement the newly-weds would be moving to Windsor, rather than staying at Kensington Palace. That news unleashed a swathe of claims of tensions between the couples and how palace staff find Meghan behind closed doors.
And Thomas Markle's reappearance with a new interview hardly helps the festive spirit of peace and goodwill to all men.
Daily Mirror royal correspondent Russell Myers joins Pod Save The Queen host Ann Gripper to discuss the tensions - and what the royals can look forward to at Christmas and beyond.
Pod Save the Queen will return in January. For information regarding your data privacy, visit acast.com/privacy

  • Up close with Prince Charles at 70
Prince Charles has celebrated his 70th birthday - and all but four of those years have been spent as king in waiting.
When that time does eventually come, Charles will continue to use his network as a force for good (even if he will no longer meddle).
"Neutral, but not neutered." That is the view of John Bridcut, who spent a year with the Prince of Wales for a BBC documentary to mark the milestone birthday and got a unique view of his life, work and family relationships.
As well as following the Prince in his work, John interviewed Camilla, William and Harry to get their view on the public and private man.
He joined Pod Save The Queen host Ann Gripper to share his behind the camera stories and reflect on the man who will be king.
He also discussed how Charles has changed in the decade since his last big birthday, which he had also made a documentary about, and how Prince Harry is coming into his own.

  • Royal tour fashion special: Hits, misses and an unsung hero
Meghan Markle has come through her first royal tour with flying colours - and an expanded wardrobe.
A schedule which packed in 76 engagements in 16 days in four countries, including everything from welly-wanging to wreath-laying and dinner with a king, was always going to need a wide range of clothes.
In all there were 39 outfits , featuring 29 dresses, six coats, eight bags, 17 pairs of shoes, three pairs of trousers, six blazers, two hats and three pairs of sunglasses, adding up to £60,000 . And that's before you get to jewellery.
The Pod Save The Queen fashion team of Amber Graafland, Zoe Cripps and Megan Rees joined host Ann Gripper to discuss their favourite looks, the ones that missed the mark and what we learned about the Duchess's style on this tour. Plus Zoe identifies her unsung hero of the tour. For information regarding your data privacy, visit acast.com/privacy
