  • The Watchmen (Episode 104)

Who Watches the Watchmen?? WE do! And we've read it, too! Yes, it's time for a very special heartwarming episode of Pod Stallions, where we cover the apocalypse-straddling, superhero-deconstructing epic classic by A---M---- (name redacted) and Dave Gibbons.

We cover its original release, the '09 film, the prequel/sequel comics, merch, the HBO series and even the Dr. Manhattan promotional condom! (Never let it be said the PS guys don't go the extra mile). Tune In, Turn On, Drop Out and come along for the Watchmen ride. Be seeing you. (But not if we see you first!).

We're lucky to live in a time where Martin Short lives to bring us joy because, man, do we need it. Today's Pod Stallions: 'It's a Short, Short, Short, Short World- We're Just Living In It.

  • Doctor Who Magazine (Episode 102)

Even as kids, the Pod Stallions boys voraciously kept up with their periodicals. Newsweek, National Geographic, Highlights and Dynamite, to name a few. But one mag stands above all others for most information gleaned: Doctor Who Magazine. (Formerly DW Monthly, formerly DW Weekly).

Without whom, we wouldn't have been half as Who-smart as we were. Even tho we kept it quiet. Join us then as we give tribute to Doctor Who Magazine! (If the free gift is missing from the cover, see your newsagent to complain).

  • Batman Movies- 100th Episode Spectacular

It's hard to believe, but just a short time ago we had the wacky idea to record the pop culture-centric phone chats we regularly had, in the hopes that there'd be a few other people out there that would find them amusing. Seems our instincts were right, cuz we shut our eyes, hit the gas, drove off the cliff and before we knew it, we headed towards syndication.

Yes, it's the long-awaited, mythologized and soon-to-be legendary 100th Episode of Pod Stallions! And rather than just a reel of highlights, we thought what better way to mark the occasion than to celebrate the cinematic achievements of Batman. Sometimes pop art sensation, part-time Dark Knight Detective and occasional nipple-fied cartoon.

He's done it all, and so have we, in Episode 100: Silver Screen Batman! (With some 'guest' surprises along the way, as close to a Tonight Show-clip-fest as we could get on audio). Thanks for helping us get to this milestone, and enjoy the show.

  • More Planet of the Apes (Episode 99)

Never say we don't finish things; here is the second part to an episode we started in 2015 (we were just kids them) where J and B discuss the many Planet of the Apes sequels, the tv series,  the cartoon, the Tim Burton movie and the Matt Reeves take on Apes. It's a wonderful trip to 3978 that hopefully won't have you saying, "Damn you, Jason and Brian, damn you all to heck".

"We're living in such strange times that it truly feels like yesterday that we were going over our 'Best Of 2020' list, commenting on how quickly we got there. Well, we blinked a few times, and 2021 is done and gone, so here we are again with our picks of bits that brightened our outlooks. Movies, shows, books, toys and more random musings and recommendations abound in our (yes!) second December episode, The Pod Stallions Best of the Year. If you hurry, you can still get to these before '22 arrives!

  • Toy Shop Days

  • 70s TV Superheroes

In this installment, Jason and Brain wax nostalgic over the days when we weren't spoiled by three Superhero movies a Summer. The time when Captain America had a van, Spider-Man was a Von Trap child, and Sinestro used to open for Sinatra.

"Where are you coming from Spider-Man" explores what a Superhero loving child had to choose from in the '70s, reruns of Batman, a decent series about the Incredible Hulk and a strangely disco Doctor Strange.

All that and a particularly powerful flub by Brain, enjoy!
