Kamal Haasan during the promotional event for his upcoming movie "Vikram" talks about the language debate between Bollywood and Tollywood. He quoted, "film speaks the world language, it's a language on its own".
He said that we are a country with so much diversity but still United. Kamal Haasan also mentioned that in the South most people might not be fluent in Bengali but they can sing the National Anthem fluently. The success of movies cannot be segregated between South or Bollywood, if a movie is successful it’s the win of an Indian movie. According to him, a movie hall is a place of entertainment. He shared his views on how wonderful Bollywood movies like Mugal-E-Azam and Sholay are and a remake of such outstanding movies would be a quest for all.
