In this episode of Insights From The Studio with Mike & Steve, we discuss which is better for your podcast: Multitrack Recording or single-track Stereo Recording.
You may be wondering what the difference between the two of these is. We define Multitrack Recording as a method of audio recording that allows each microphone or audio input to be recorded on its own track. Stereo Recording, on the other hand, mixes all audio inputs down to a single track and is then played back evenly in a left and right channel.
The method that's right for you entirely depends on what you are trying to accomplish, but for most of us out there, we believe Stereo Recording is the way to go.
