The writer of Hebrews encourages us to "not forsake the assembling of ourselves together...but exhort one another, and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching." Markus explains this imperative to us, pointing out the importance of being part of the Body of Christ - not in name only - but in fact and in our manner of living. He also stresses why this is all the more critical as we get closer to the return of Christ.
(This recording includes all of the service simulcast, not just the sermon.)
The Apostle Paul is writing to give hope to a church under tremendous persecution. Pastor Mat looks at these words of hope and also addresses the question: When will we have rest from the difficulties of life?
As he finishes up his series through Paul's answers to various questions concerning relationships, Pastor Mat explains the difference it will make in our lives when we truly understand that we have been bought with a price. He also gives us a personal look at what the Lord seeks to teach us through the marital relationship, not just about marriage, but about ourselves.
Is the Lord with us or not? That was the question the Children of Israel asked in the wilderness when they were thirsty. Having been delivered miraculously from Egypt, having been fed with manna from heaven, having already been provided with water by the Lord, they still did not trust His provision for them. Pastor Igor asks, do WE trust God to provide for us when times of testing and trials arise?
Grab your Bible as we move through Ezekiel, Revelation, Zechariah and First Corinthians to look at End Times topics like Armageddon, the Second Coming of Christ, the Millennium and more. Does the Church replace Israel? How should we view the current conflicts in the Middle East and in Israel specifically? It's a packed study that will leave you looking up, for our redemption draws nigh!
Prophecies concerning the Last Days given to Daniel are partly revealed and partly still sealed. But we are getting close, cautions Pastor Mat. We need to be aware of what is going on in the world, but see it through Biblical lenses and with full assurance that God has everything under control. Daniel's prophecy does tell us enough to know what we are to watch for and what the hope is for the believer in Christ.
Pastor Mat continues his look at Paul's answers to questions about relationships posed to him by the believers in Corinth. They are questions still being asked in churches today, concerning things like marriage to unbelievers, appropriate use of Christian liberty, and more. You may even find answers to questions you have.
As a nation, Israel rejected their Messiah two thousand years ago; but in the "last of the last days", many will come to faith in Christ. Jesus is coming back; the signs of the times are all around us. And as the prophetic timer winds down, Pastor Mat points out that we need to keep our eyes, not only on Israel, but on the nations surrounding her. Above all, however, we need to remember that God has everything under control.
Paul’s letter to the Thessalonican believers was written to people who were scared about the signs of the times. He made his message very simple and clear, to offer them comfort and hope. Given the situation in the world as Pastor Mat preaches this message, many people are also scared, wondering if we are in the “last of the last days” and what current events mean in light of Scripture. Let this study encourage you that God has everything under control.
In this powerful study, Pastor Igor points out that Jonah is not so much a book of prophecy as it is a story of the prophet himself. Jonah is called to give a warning from God to an enemy nation and runs from that calling, not out of fear, but out of hatred. God didn't want Nineveh's destruction; He wanted their repentance. But what pleased God, displeased Jonah. Does God's compassion and mercy on others displease us? Pastor Igor reminds us that God wants to save people from ALL nations.
