  • @SeekingPlumb | Will we write new stories in the stars? ✨😮🌌

"It all depends on where we are, right? But those constellations won't exist elsewhere. And it's really kind of cool when you think about humans at some point being space, faring and going from planet to planet. And each time you land, essentially you're seeing a new sky with all of these stars and all of these opportunities to create new stories, new images, to draw association between certain stars, to say, oh, this is now the kitty cat. I don't know."

"So to give an example, like dark matter, what we can't actually see or explain may actually be because a lot of things happened in that part of space. And the information has weight, so it has gravity, so it influences how sticky and how close things stay together and so on. Anyway, that's as much as I'm going to get into the science of it. That's very fascinating. I'm so intrigued by this."

  • @SeekingPlumb | "Careless People" | When war is seen as an effective distraction from bad press, when money is more important than genocide. 🤯🤬

"And because there's these different pockets of how they want to organize humans, they can do it. And when they're doing it for the purposes of others who have intentions of gaining power, intentions of gaining money, and it benefits Facebook, why in the would they stop? And if we don't recognize that this is what's happening, then we can't stop it from happening. Right?"

  • @SeekingPlumb | The lie: "Social hierarchies are just human." No, this is the cage we've been conditioned to normalize & defend.

"They are interconnected, overlapping, and they reinforce one another. And so really it's those, those reinforcements, those similarities that I want to zero in on, because whatever this, I don't know what I want to call it because and apparently there is no formal term for these dynamics of control and power, of oppression, of. And sometimes, you know, some of these words are not quite right. So I'm still working on some of my language to describe this overall thing."

  • @SeekingPlumb | Reimagining (& barely scratching the surface of) "for the people by the people".

"But it was something about their recognizing that how humans organize themselves could be detrimental if it was done this way. And we've seen that, right? And us versus them is a dynamic that has existed long before the US ever did and how polarizing it can be. And also then it becomes about my team versus your team rather than let's get things done for all of us. Right? So I would love to do away with political parties."

  • @SeekingPlumb | Change is coming. Could redefining family be foundational to a better future? 🤔

"And then we've got some more subtle ways of compartmentalizing. These are our children and those are their children. Those are your cousins, but these are your siblings. Right. In the matrilineal society, they have what they have called walking marriage. I won't get into the ins and outs of that, but basically all of the children stay with the. The woman with the mother. So it's her home. And the men will come to her home at night and then leave in the morning."

"She squawked whether it was last year, this year. And, you know, you can always interpret it in your own human lens, but I'm sure it was just territorial. So, anyway, before I continue. So last year I had seen some video online where someone had created this charcuterie board for birds full of fruit. And I thought, that's really cool. And so I started giving. I tried blueberries, raspberries, pieces of strawberries."

"I finished listening to a two and a half hour episode of the Diary of a CEO podcast about AI, AI agents and the future. And although it was interesting, I will have to say that it was rather disappointing because there were major gaps in the conversation that would have been filled in a nuanced and interconnected way if there had been more of a diverse panel and to be explicit, if women, and particularly black women, women of color had been present."

  • @SeekingPlumb | Obedient Does Not Mean Moral
Click here to reply to @SeekingPlumb

"It wouldn't matter. Someone wouldn't have to justify that they're disabled enough. They wouldn't have to justify that they deserve support. We would just recognize and support one another. But we don't. Instead be obedient. Then maybe otherwise. Yeah."

  • @SeekingPlumb | The "authenticity" of authenticity; "Be authentic! Oh, but not like that."

"I'm just thinking, for example too, when I go to the doctor, I have chronic illnesses and it is a regular thing. It almost doesn't matter what country you are in. I'm only speaking about two that I've been in with respect to doctors. But if you don't, and this comes even culturally too, if you don't, quote, unquote, perform suffering, disability pain at the right ways, then you're not taken seriously. Right?"
