  "And when you start empathizing, you can understand a lot about, you know, how to not only deal with people, but how a situation can change. Like, normally you can get angry at a certain situation, but if you just empathize that, oh, this person is probably in a much more difficult situation than I am, he's having a bad day. So you just respond with kindness and move on instead of arguing with that person, trying to be condescending."

  "So I have something called hyperempathy. For me, I can't handle hearing about people getting hurt. If I do, I get nauseous and upset. Seeing pictures of broken bones or videos of people fighting is unbearable. One time I watched a girl pull glass out of her hair after a car accident, and I almost passed out of pain. Just hits me differently. Sometimes I can almost feel other people's pain. It's not just about understanding what someone's going through emotionally."

  "And so you might think you can't really connect with that person, but you guys probably have been through similar experiences and situations and stuff like that. And so it's like, I feel like if we start to open up and be empathetic towards each other, we can create stronger, closer knit relationships with people and create a safer, a more safe environment for others, too, to kind of, like, open up. So, yeah, that's my take on it."
