It's been a while since I posted something, but I felt like I had to acknowledge the passing of Phil Donahue, an icon and legend in the world of daytime television, who really pioneered the daytime television format, which would lead to, you know, success of people like Oprah Winfrey and others. And one of my earliest childhood memories is being a little kid and my mom watching Phil Donahue on a little black and white television that was in the kitchen."

  "And I think, you know, if a film garners a lot of attention this first week, if it really becomes part of Zeitgeist, people are going to go to the movies and check it out. I think regardless of the expected streaming or video on demand schedule. So I think it makes sense for films that debut and don't maybe don't do that well at the box office."

  "And I saw this film when it first was released, open at night. It was 1996. Me and a couple of friends had decided to go together to the movies. We went to a movie theater in Times Square. It was an absolutely madhouse of an audience. And everything that happened in the film, just the audience reaction. It was one of the really one of the most thrilling experiences I've ever had as far as, like, going to a movie or anything like that."
