"It's very heartwarming to know that everyone was able to just get up the next day and lend a hand to us, be able to help us carry on through our lives. Because we still have work, we still have children, we still have a life that needs to proceed even though the devastation is still ongoing. And it just doesn't stop life. So it's really tough. But it's really great to know so many helping hands that we have here in our own hometown."

"My company is called Couture Zen and I do a lot of personal development and volunteer work. I volunteered with the City of Los Angeles for four years as a volunteer elected official for downtown LA Neighborhood Council. And I learned a lot about how bureaucracy works. And I was on my couch with my marketing manager, web designer, graphic designer, who is based in the Philippines, and we were coming up with our media strategy. We have a weekly meeting every week."

And what disturbs me most right now is our leadership, the pointing of fingers, which is so childish. I just saw Elon Musk do a post berating Gavin Newsom on some decisions he had made about water."
