"I would share this as this a text post, but I think. I think the option to post on text only is available on my tablet. Yeah, I think that's what it is. But I wanted to post this now, so I thought it was a pretty decent. Listen, Teaching History in the Internet age, it just also gives you part of what I like about it, gives you general frames of reference for different approaches to studying history."

"And then tomorrow when I go in, not only did I so the goal was on Fridays in our structured support class to have kids move things from the folder to our binder for the week and get them a new packet for the following week to start our process over. We didn't end up actually doing that and so I have to go in the morning and set that up. We also have our parent meeting starting on starting next week and we have one tomorrow."

"All right. I am doing laundry as I record this as well. So if you hear noise in the background, if my voice kind of fades in and out, it's because I'm folding clothes and putting things away and moving back and forth away from the mic. So for the tutoring, I'm tutoring this girl in geometry through a tutoring company I'm working with. And how can I say. And she is slightly ahead of her class. So it turns out I was."

"And they trained you on all aspects of this. So like we were. And I don't have the vocab to explain it right, but we, we went on the. Out on the fields, we're tending the crops. We did like micro farming indoors. We explored vertical farming. They talked about like, the financial side of things. And I really thought I was going to do this. I really thought. But it just. It did not work out."

"An elementary school teacher I love because just by the population that they teach, the age group, they really have to focus on structure and the art of teaching. I think when you get to older grades you can sometimes get away with just being a really good content expert. Especially if the class is more of advanced class and the kids are generally self driven. But the younger ages you deal with, I think the better, the more it comes down to being a better teacher and classroom manager."

"But the limitation of having assigned seats is that it's always with the same people or you have to think really hard about it as a teacher to. To make sure things are working as they should. So I think we had yesterday, on Thursday where they had their independent work day where they have independent work time. As soon as they walk into class they just have to fill out a couple things about what they're going to do and then they're off to the races on their own."

"And then when an opportunity came to teach in my local, in the, in the city that I live in, I decided to take the plunge because I was like, it just felt like something I don't know if I had to do, but that I know, I know it was needed and I think I wanted to see what it took to do that. So the reason I went to the school that I'm at now, which is a totally different vibe, it's a private school."

"These are one of these posts that's kind of a placeholder for me. But I am, I guess as I'm relearning things, I'm sharing the journey of relearning. So I am, I am. I previously worked with the university as a tutor on and off for a number of years, and now I'm coming back on temporarily for projects to Support graduate and Ph.D. social science students who are taking an advanced statistics class."

"But anyway, outside of that, like I have emphasized structure this year to start with. Above all else, structure and routine. And partly for the some of the reasons in this video. So the kids and the the idea in part, my students are building good habits through routine and practice. They don't have to think about it. We're just doing it as an everyday week thing. I'm not trying to over explain everything they do our weekly routines."
