"And when I went to your website to sort of discover who you are as a whole person, it really struck me that you obviously love pop culture and you're able to make it relatable to everybody in a way that I think a lot of writers want to be able to do, because there is definitely a line between, you know, just talking about what's going on and really giving us your perspective and enabling us to see culture through your lens."

"But it seems like you were able to be in a position where you showed expertise and passion for things that were really interesting and good and showed, you know, the edges of what we can do out there in the world to make change. Can you talk a little bit about that focus and where it sits in you right now?"

"I knew a lot of friends, and one of them just completely blew out their back and neck trying to jerk lift something they probably shouldn't been doing. But how do you keep up with that and really assess what is good for different people? And is it really a matter of personalization? Does everybody really kind of need their own personal workout plan and nutrition plan for that? Thank you in advance, Ken, and again, really enjoyed your book."

"It is just easy stuff to do. So my question is really, why did you write this book? What prompted you to write this book? I know in the foreword, you mentioned that you've never really even thought about writing a book because you didn't think you had much to say, and you push through that and you actually wrote this book."

"But you know, if you go to the market, like, chances are you're not getting great, great stuff. So anyways, curious, as somebody who's traveled a region where that's like sort of their, their one of their main offerings. So anyways, nice to learn about you and I can't wait to hear your reply."

"Whereas I imagine that, you know, your sort of traditional travel journalist is, is being paid per piece that they're writing or maybe they're a salaried writer for a particular outlet. And I just wonder like, sort of how you as sort of a veteran in the industry, how you view that sort of shift. Because I think that, you know, we're the economy these days. Like everybody sort of needs to get paid for the work that they're doing."

"Hi Deborah. I hope this is working. Thanks for your question. Yes, children's book writing and travel writing are seem like an likely pairing, but you're absolutely right. The way travel writers see the world and go, with very curious eyes and open minds and just no preconceived notions. At least that's how we try to travel when we're visiting a place, when we're recording on a place. And I believe that's how children see it too."

"Did you approach this like you have approached other long term journalistic projects or was this a whole new experience for you and how did you go about it? Because I'm sure it's very. It requires a lot of organization, but also as a book it requires a lot more. You have to weave a larger fabric. You have to go into more of a magical space to create the prose that link chapters together and make it a more immersive long term relationship with you."

"Hey, Kimberly, it's so nice to have you here in conversation about the book that you wrote, for Little Eyes and Little Imaginations. And it just puts a smile on my face, because travel writers are so unique to the idea of discovery and realizing that every plane ticket is a passport to different cultures. And it unlocks so much of your own imagination."

"What was that like for you, and did it come naturally, or did you. You say, wow, I'm talking to this amazing chef, but they're really not letting me know who they are and how they got there. What was that like for you?"
