  "Asking for help is never a bad thing, but women portraying themselves to be too fragile or dainty to even try to do physical tasks such as take out the trash or change a tire or drive because, well, your big strong male partner can do it for you because you're just a girl. Women glorifying this mindset seep more and more into traditional gender roles while using this phrase as the perfect basis for it. These are not things emotionally mature and intelligent women do."

  "Jokingly or not, it gives the impression that women don't need to be held to the same standards, and that's not a good message to send. Third, it hurts the fight for equality. For years, women have fought to be seen as equals. They have worked hard to prove they are just as strong, intelligent and reliable as men. The phrase I'm just a girl goes against that progress."
