"In many indigenous philosophies, consciousness pervades not just humans, but animals, stones, rivers, even the wind. A shared aliveness. Even Islamic philosophers like Ibn Sina, Avicenna and Sufi mystics speak of a nur that is light, that is both divine and immanent within the heart. Buddhist, Hindu and Yogic texts describe consciousness as the very fabric of reality. Names like chit in Sanskrit or Isikli, Turkish for full of light. Now, before explaining further, I want to go poetically."
