God used to dwell with his people behind a thick curtain in the Temple. Now God dwells in his people through the Holy Spirit. The church is God’s holy temple here on earth.

Glory (“heavy, weighty, of great significance”) is an essential attribute of God. He is “the Father of glory” (Eph. 1:17), who is forever to be praised by the church for redeeming us and all things in Christ.

God has made equal every tribe, tongue, and race in His multiethnic family of love. Jesus accepted us and removed the dividing wall of hostility between peoples (Eph 2:14), so we are inclusive like Jesus.

God’s people have suffered in every age. The Gospel is offensive and challenges all other authorities, giving rise to persecution. Jesus promised that all those who identify with him can expect to be persecuted (John 15:20).

The resurrection of Jesus is a game changer. When we look at life with resurrection lenses we see sin, sickness, and the world in a totally new perspective.

The church proclaims the excellencies of him who has called us out of darkness into His marvelous light. We have our life because of God’s grace and offer our lives as living sacrifices of worship back to God for His Glory.

The Holy Spirit has been given to the Church to empower us to bear witness to the good news about Jesus. Our mission is sustainable and effective as we prayerfully depend on the power of the Holy Spirit.

The church is a generous people who shares resources with one another whenever necessary. We model our generosity after Christ who, though he was rich, for our sakes became poor, so that through his poverty we might become rich.
