Times that Test Men’s Souls

Greg, John, and Pat discuss how we are soon to be facing times that test men’s souls. They encourage us to cry out for God’s grace. Jesus has already saved the world you just have to accept Him. There is a grace that God supplies to you so that you don’t have to leave your post. At the same time there are those who are trying to save their ungodly businesses from destruction. They should just stay destroyed. The Barna Group says 97% of people don’t even read their Bible and only 3% of Christians actually honor God with their tithes. If we get our act together and turn back to God we may be sparred. We will be blessed when we turn back to God. They encourage us to shake off everything that makes our flesh feel good. They continue to discuss how sudden disaster comes upon one’s life. God does not delight in disaster but instead delights in the turning of our hearts to Him. God wants to save your souls and fulfill your destiny. We are at the very beginning of the testing of men’s souls more than ever it is important to understand the blessing of God on our life and on our nation and respond to him appropriately. They continue to discuss how often times we enable folks. Many times the prodigal son is taken care of by people and he or she never feels the full extent of their sin. The church is not a first aid station. The church is an extension of the love of God in hopes that people’s eyes would be open to turn to Him. Our prayers should be “Dear Lord if you ever entrust me with provision again I will use it for your glory.”

Sudden Disasters Where do they Come from and Why they Come

Greg, John, and Pat discuss the sudden disaster; where it came from and why it came. In this moment of wisdom Greg shares from Proverbs 1:20-33 “Wisdom’s rebuke out in the open wisdom calls aloud, she raises her voice in the public square; on top of the wall she cries out, at the city gate she makes her speech: “How long will you who are simple love your simple ways? How long will mockers delight in mockery and fools hate knowledge? Repent at my rebuke! Then I will pour out my thoughts to you, I will make known to you my teachings. But since you refuse to listen when I call and no one pays attention when I stretch out my hand,

since you disregard all my advice and do not accept my rebuke, I in turn will laugh when disaster strikes you; I will mock when calamity overtakes you—when calamity overtakes you like a storm,

when disaster sweeps over you like a whirlwind, when distress and trouble overwhelms you. Then they will call to me but I will not answer; they will look for me but will not find me, since they hated knowledge and did not choose to fear the Lord. Since they would not accept my advice and spurned my rebuke, they will eat the fruit of their ways and be filled with the fruit of their schemes. For the waywardness of the simple will kill them, and the complacency of fools will destroy them; but whoever listens to me will live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm.” They continue to discuss the disastrous flood of biblical proportion that has affected the city of Pensacola and the Gulf coast region. Sudden disaster comes to those who are not listening to God and His messengers. If you had only responded to God’s rebuke He would have responded to you and opened himself to you. The enemy has totally twisted discipline. We must repent at His rebuke. Repentance is feeling bad about what you did and turning to Jesus and away from your sin. If you repent then God would reveal himself to you. God wants to commune with you. God loves you and has a plan for your life.

Greg, John, and Pat discuss the importance of getting back to power in the church through the promise of the Holy Spirit. They continue to discuss the amazing life and ministry of Jesus and some of the things Jesus was able to accomplish in such a short amount of time yet when it was time for Jesus to leave and be with the Father he gave the disciples specific instructions. Jesus was going back to the Father and they would be without Him and the power that flowed through His life and ministry. Yet He did not leave them without a power source. The same power that flowed through Jesus’s life and ministry was available to them when the Holy Spirit would come upon them 50 days after Jesus’ ascension at Pentecost. Much of the church is functioning today without power yet the power of God is freely available to them. The Azusa street revival in 1906 was a move of God that came with power sustained by the power of the Holy Spirit. They did not have the technology that we have today like text message, cell phones, and social media but they did have the Holy Spirit and that’s all they needed as this move of God spread all around the world. They encourage us to do whatever we have to do to come together in Christ center unity. They further encourage us to go back and look at what took place during the transition in Jesus ministry; when he left earth and was reunited with the Father. The church must return to and be a channel of the love and power of God.

Is the Lord About to Return; Rapture, End Times? A Look into Book of Revelation

Greg, John, and Pat discuss the book of Revelation which is the revelation of Christ. They discuss that when you look at the book of Revelation of the things you consistently read is what the Spirit says to the church. The Lord is going to come back at the last trumpet sound. The secret to survival is not a manual its hearing the voice of the Lord. The book of Revelation begins with a message to the seven churches. We must remember that judgment begins first in the house of God. Those messages are still relevant today. Since Jesus is the same today about what he felt long ago this message still applies to us. The first thing that happens is that God deals with the church. We need to watch as we see areas in which the church will be tempted in. You left your first love, and hated the false apostles messages that ministered to the church of that day yet are still ministering to us today. They remind us that judgment begins in the house of God and at the same time no one cries out for judgment. They don’t cry out for judgment because they don’t have the revelation of Jesus taking on our judgment ; besides they share how it is much better to be judge on this side of eternity rather than the other side when our lives are over and there is no more time to repent. They further discuss Revelation 5 where there was no one who was worthy to open the scroll and break the seals; the one who was worthy enough to redeem the earth is Jesus. They encourage us to study and read the book of Revelation as there is a blessing for those who do. We are so close, the adversary is cranking things up and Jesus is coming back for his bride the church. The one who rides on the white horse is coming at the appointed time. It’s your job to be ready for when He comes.

Martial Law: Careful, Careful When the God of Money Goes Down

Greg, John, and Pat discuss the possibilities of martial law being declared in the United States once the “god” of money goes down. Today in the land there is no fear of the Lord and many are doing as they please. Rick Joyner, founder of Morning Star ministries has said that in the 50’s even those who didn’t know God still feared God, but today there are those who claim to know God and they don’t fear Him. The possibility of martial law coming to the United States is something to take very seriously especially when one sees police departments buying armored cars and Homeland Security buying billions of rounds of ammunition when we are on the precipice of a financial crash. When your god goes down people panic and anyone can see that America’s god is money. You can know who your God is when it’s removed from your life. If you lost your job are you now stressing as if God wasn’t the one who gave you the job to begin with. Rick Joyner has said that he too feels that martial law is eminent based upon what the Lord has shown Him. He continues to say that “the big deal about martial law is who is the marshal? There are times in our nation’s history when martial law has been a good thing. According to Wikipedia “martial law is the imposition of military power over designated regions on an emergency basis.” There is going to be an uprising because of the economy and its going to take a very decisive leader with integrity to deal with things. They continue to warn how there are many in America and around the world who desire tyranny; they see a one world economy. Rick Joyner shares that the mark of the beast is an economical mark. Institutional Racism is just Flat Out Evil; Yet is this same “mindset” happening within the Church?

Greg, John, and Pat discuss whether what has just happened with the NBA’s Los Angeles Clippers is actually embedded in the walls of the church? They continue to discuss how there are still some things that have to get right in the panhandle. There are some historically tragic things that have been done to the first nation’s people that first inhabited this land as well as with others. Our forefathers drove many of the people off the land and we have to deal with it before God. They continue to discuss the many years that African Americans were oppressed in our country. What has happened through the world has been horrific how much worse are the things that were done in the name of God that was not God at all i.e. burning crosses in the front lawns of African Americans.

We must go back and repent for what was done in the name of God that was not God at all. It was simply evil. You will have a little more empathy for others when you understand a little bit about their journey. It was just days ago that the monster of institutionalized racism was revealed from the Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling. This is crazy when you think about how some of the players and head coach are black, however isn’t this what is happening in much of the church. It has been said that most segregated moment in America is Sunday morning. There is segregation across the board in much of the church. Greg continues to share how he lived a desegregated life prior to giving his life to the Lord and going to church. No matter what God has called us to we must not forget that God called us to make disciples of the nations. The word nations in the Greek means ethnos; which is also where the word ethnic derives from. How can we disciple the nations/ ethnos if we still have institutionalized racism in the church? They share several situations where they have heard of racism in the church for instance what happened to Derrick Grice. Derrick Grice, an African America black male believer, attended church with a white lady, who is also a believer, she sat by him, worshiped God with him and even fell under the power of God right beside him in a church building for five years but still didn’t know him. When Derrick was praying in the parking lot of the church building she called the police on him saying he was looking in the car windows. This must not exist from those who consider themselves family. They discuss the racism that has occurred through the years and in particularly that has occurred in Pensacola as Greg shares the journey he has been on to better understand the plight of the African Americans. They further discuss how the issue of racism in Pensacola has even been discussed by the college professor of Flagler College in a recent talk he titled “Beyond Integration: The Black Freedom Struggle in Pensacola, Florida 1960-1980”. We are called to disciple the nations how can we do that if we can’t reach the person across the street of another race? We don’t have a black church, white church, or a Hispanic church we have one church. The only thing we can do is repent and relate to each other as brothers and sisters in the Lord. We need another Azusa Street revival; a move of God that includes both genders, people of all ages and of all ethnic groups. Lord would you do it again give us another move like Azusa again!
