  • Atheist “Mega Churches’” Global Phenomenon
Greg, John, and Pat discuss how Atheist mega churches are now becoming a global phenomenon. CBN News reports “The gatherings have been successful in Great Britain and are now drawing like-minded people in cities like San Diego, Calif., Nashville, Tenn., and New York City.
The so-called churches look like typical Sunday morning worship services, complete with music, hand clapping, and inspiration. The missing element? God.” These are folks who like the community of people gathering and connecting with others but no mention of God. This should not be what the church does either when it meets. When the church gathers it should be to worship Jesus Christ. We have to get back to the fear of the Lord. They continue to discuss that when Egyptian magicians threw down their staffs and it became a serpent Moses did the same but his serpent ate the serpents of the Egyptians. Moses said it another way when he said how will they know you are with us unless your presence comes? What differentiates us from anybody or group gathering is the presence of the Lord. The apostle Paul warned the church day and night that wolves would come in. Our church gatherings are not about us they are supposed to be all about Jesus. If they are not about Jesus than we must check ourselves and examine if we or those who profess to gather in the name of God actually know the God they profess.

  • North Korea's Kim Jong Un, Executes 80 People for Videos and Bibles
John, Greg, and Pat discuss recent reports from Fox News regarding the executions of 80 North Koreans for watching South Korea videos and for possessing Bibles. Fox News reports that Kim Jong Un dictator of North Korea had white bags put over the heads of those captured and gathered 10,000 people including children in a stadium so they can watch the execution. “It was heard from the residents that they watched in terror as the corpses were (so) riddled by machine-gun fire that they were hard to identify afterward,” the JoongAng Ilbo source said. They continue to discuss how Dictator Kim John Un was following after Nero when he persecuted Christians during his time. They continue to discuss how if the enemy can’t remove the Bible he will raise up a counterfeit like the Koran. They encourage us to pray for persecuted Christians all over the world. We cannot pray if we don’t have a burden and we won’t have a burden if we don’t remain informed on how Christians are being tortured, and killed just for being Christians.

  • Either Fear or Faith which one will it be?
Greg, John, and Pat discuss whether it will be either fear or faith, which one will it be? They continue to discuss that what North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un is doing when he is executing Christians in stadiums is to instill fear in the people. That is also happening right now in Iran with Pastor Saeed in prison. The enemy is trying to stir up fear in God’s people. Fear is the opposite of what moves God. Faith moves God. They continue to share what Reverend Kenneth Copeland said in one of his messages when he said that people don’t have a fear of flying what they have is a fear of dying. They continued to discuss three common things most people fear. They have a fear of death, a fear of being harmed, and a fear of loss. They further discuss how no matter what category you put fear in it still boils down to fear. So many people are fighting to stay alive and fear death but they are not doing anything with the life they have. There is no one more secure than the person who has never stepped out. So many people are terrified of losing something. Until you are ready to die for something you are not ready to live for anything. John Bevere says that we serve what we fear. If we fear man we will serve man, if we fear God we will serve God. If we are to come after Jesus we have to deny ourselves pick up our cross and follow him. It will cost us everything to serve him. Serve God and not fear, refuse to have an affair with fear.

  • Affordable Care Act- Got Questions?
Greg, John, and Pat discuss how people have many questions regarding the affordable care act and NPR. Julie Rovner helps to answer some of these important questions. Some of the questions that are asked to Julie; is there a cap on income? If income goes down and fluctuates are there subsidies available? Do I have to go with my employer health care plan and questions like these can be heard throughout Julie’s interview. They continue to discuss how it is a good thing that health care is something that people are concerned for everyone to have access to it. However, it is very important and the implementation is critical. The fact that the affordable care act is unconstitutional is something that has been grossly ignored. They encourage us to listen to the interview and gather clearer understanding of how the affordable care act affects you.

  • In a Soldier's Voice!
In a Soldier's Voice! Honoring our Veterans on Veterans Day - First Hand
Greg, Steve, and Pat honor veterans on Veterans Day as they share perspective of what our brave men and women in the military have done and are currently doing to protect our freedom because freedom is not free. They continue to share how our veterans have fought for us now we need to fight for them and make sure they are receiving the health care they need. Steve who served two tours of duty in Iraq puts us there as he shares in graphic detail a day in the life of military personnel who are on the front lines defending freedom for us. He begins to share how no day is alike. Every day is full of missions and intelligence gathering. You never know who is friendly and who is the enemy. Steve shares that sometime the friendliest people he encountered in war were actually the most deadliest. Every day there was a constant reminder of being aware of three things, horse, saddle, and man. Horse means you are always checking your weapon system, saddle refers to your truck and your transportation and man refers to man which means you think of yourself last. Steve shares how he went through two years of significant training before being deployed as the military would say “operational”. He describes when he was deployed to war that his job was not a 9 to 5 but a 24 hour, 7 day a week job. They continue to share perspective so that as Americans we can honor, appreciate and empathize with our veterans who have fought for us. Steve shares accounts from the war zone that give us a perspective of the tensions and stresses our soldiers face on a continual basis on the frontlines. He had to disassociate his emotions. He had to turn off his emotions because allowing himself to feel emotions could cause him or his fellow soldier to get killed. He further discusses what it is like for soldiers to re-enter civilian life. They continue to discuss and give perspective so that Veterans Day is not just another day on our calendar or just about having a day off from school or work but actually a day that we pause and honor those who have bravely fought and still fight today for our freedom in our great nation. Steve continues to share what it was like to transition back into civilian life after he spent four years at war. He decided to go back to waiting tables and found out that he was unprepared to deal with the public because his emotions were all over the place. He went through a difficult time adjusting to civilian life and experiencing first hand with how Americans were quite different and selfish and how most had no grid of what it’s like in another country. He shares one account where an elderly woman he was waiting on in a restaurant went off on him and put her finger in his face and screamed at him because he forgot her ranch dressing. He actually shut down and in that great stress he actually visualized seeing himself punching this woman in the neck and killing her. It was in that moment of brokenness he cried out to God and asked him to reveal himself. The moment he did he felt this overwhelming feeling and a great pressure came off of him. Steve shares in detail the steps he took as God drew him to Him. He gave his life to Jesus; he got connected to the family of God, was discipled and became a follower of Jesus Christ. They continue to encourage civilians to have empathy for our soldiers as they are transitioning back into society and they also encourage all veterans and anyone else who doesn’t know God to cry out to him just like Steve did. Jesus will change your life; he will save you and set you free so you can begin to enjoy true freedom.
