Pat, John, and Chris discuss the life of Job and how through a life of suffering and not turning away from God but turning to God, Job was more blessed in the end than from the beginning of his life and trial. In James 1:2-4, we are told to welcome the trials in life as friends. It's through these trials that we grow stronger in our relationship with the Lord. Suffering allows us to grow in empathy and love for others, all the while our faith increases if we place our trust in the Lord. Even Jesus learned obedience through the things he suffered; the student is not above the Master. No matter how big the trial is you are facing today, remember you can always turn to God and He will see you through.

John and Pat talk about the goodness of God as they share Psalm 91. As we continue to see and hear of calamities and war, our first reaction as Christians should not be fear but to have faith in God. Greg shares about an encounter he had at the doctor's office with a woman who happened to be sitting next to him. He asked her what would seem to be a normal question for the season. "Are you ready for Christmas?" she said, she would be busy working through it. She went on to say that she had just lost her husband of 57 years and that she was in mourning. Greg just began to listen to her and his heart when out for her since she was grieving. Greg reminds us to take time to listen to people, to care and love on them.

Pornography is a $97 billion dollar business every year and according to CBN makes more than Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, Netflix, Ebay, Google, and Yahoo combined. Many are familiar with adults being addicted to Pornography but recent studies are showing teens are addicted to pornography as well, with first exposure to porn as young as 8 years old. This is not just a problem that is affecting those that don't know Jesus but many self-professing teenage Christians are viewing pornography. "21 % of Christian girls, according to Shelley Hitz, admitted to sending a naked photo of themselves to someone else through their cellphone." John, Pat, and Chris discuss that sexual desire is from God and is designed for the proper context of husband and wife. Sexual desire is of God and cannot be stopped just like desire for food (hunger) can't be stopped but it can be steered by the power and grace of God. They share that abiding with the Lord, accountability, and loading pornography blocking software are ways not to only put distance between oneself and porn but a pathway to victory. They also share the church can't condemn the world for sexual sins when sexual sins are so prevalent in the church. The church needs to repent and at the same time restore brothers and sisters gently, according to Galatians 6:1, less they themselves be tempted in the same way. John, Pat, and Chris discuss the Supremacy and Majesty of God. They ask us some challenging questions; have we simply forgotten about God? Is God and after thought? Are we updating our status on Facebook more than we are updating our status with God? Have we replaced the G in God with the G in google? They begin to share how familiarity with God causes us to be complacent, apathetic and eventually into sin. They encourage us to remember, bring to the mind, God. Remember his ways, commands, and majesty and repent so we won't forget who he is and fail to glorify him and live a life of sin.

John and Pat discuss the most recent happenings in the Middle East. First, President Barack Obama gives Syrian President, Assad, a strict warning; "The use of chemical weapons is and would be totally unacceptable and if you make the tragic mistake of using these weapons, there will be consequences and you will be held accountable." The administration states that this is a red line for the United States. John shares how interesting this Administration, was able to see clearly where the red line needs to be, and John agrees, but how the same administration did not agree with Israel's Prime Minister Netanayahu's red line, in terms of Iran's nuclear weapon development. They continue to discuss Israel's immediate plans to build 3,000 homes near east Jerusalem allegedly in retaliation for the United Nations recognition of Palestine. In protest 6 other countries/allies, summoned their ambassadors from Israel. Israel also has withheld more than 100 million dollars in tax rebates it collects on behalf of the Palestinians according to USA Today. Although Abbas, Palestinian President said he was not interested in taking Israel before the ICC, International Criminal Court and seek war crime charges on Israel, one of his senior aides, Nabil Shaath allegedly said that, "by continuing these war crimes of settlement activities on our lands and stealing our money, Israel is pushing and forcing us to go to the ICC." John and Pat continue to share that again this is still yet another proof positive sign that you can't negotiate with evil. They also share Secretary of State, Hilary Clinton's comments regarding Israel, "I'm not making excuses for the missed opportunities of the Israelis, or the lack of generosity, the lack of empathy that I think goes hand- in hand with the suspicion. So yes, there is more that the Israelis need to do to really demonstrate that they do understand the pain of an oppressed people in their minds, and they want to figure out, within the bounds of security and a Jewish democratic state, what can be accomplished." They continue to share that if this wasn't so tragic it would be hilarious. They continue to share the need to be informed and educated so our prayers can be about specific issues regarding Israel.
