This week on Back Issue Bloodbath, Andrew and Sammy try to make sense of one of their favourite comics: Morning Glories!

Welcome friends to Back Issue Bloodbath, a comics-centric podcast presented by Geek Hard. Join hosts Andrew Young and Sammy Younan as they get down and dirty in the four-colour world of comic books, focusing on classic stories, new issues, comic creators and hot button topics.

What did you see when your eyes were opened?

Over the past 8 years, there has been much love given to an Image comic series by the name of Morning Glories. Written by Nick Spencer with artwork from Joe Eisma, the title has shown readers the goings on at Morning Glory Academy, a prep school that is more than it seems. To outsiders, it’s an elite school that is harder than hard to get into. Behind the scenes, the faculty are more interested in their gifted students untapped abilities. These abilities range from high intellect to time travel to the power of persuasion. What does this school plan to do with these children? Your guess is as good as mine.

If what you just read sounds a bit confusing, that only means that you are sane. It’s a compelling story with a cast of intriguing characters that will keep you coming back for more…..hopefully there is more. We can’t wait for this summer vacation to end. Join Andrew and Sammy as they talk about a comic they love but are still trying to make sense of. All this and MORE on the latest episode of Back Issue Bloodbath.
