Welcome back to Podvocacy. This week’s show is going to be on the shorter side, and that’s because life is getting in the way. David has been working a lot of overtime, because his job requires him to for the end of the year. Jason hasn’t been feeling well, and there was almost no podcast at all this week. However, the guys did find time to see Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and wanted to talk about their thoughts.

Unfortunately, that’s pretty much all you’re getting for the next two weeks. David didn’t get his homework done for Wrestling on the Edge of Forever, and we’ll be taking Christmas week off from both shows, so we’ll see you back here to celebrate the calendar turning over to 2019!

Something’s Off with Andrew Heaton Episode 14

Here it is, the first ever attempt at this new format that Jason and David ever recorded. Jason gives David an episode of Star Trek: The Animated Series and David gives Jason a match from Chikara Pro. Which episode? Which match? Sorry, you’ll have to listen to find out. But if you like tall Vulcans and men who fly too close to the sun in wrestling matches, then this may just be the episode for you!

This week, David rights a wrong from week two of this experiment, and watches the second half of the Star Trek: The Next Generation pilot, “Encounter at Farpoint”. He hopes that the guys over at Radio Free Cybertron will forgive him for his gaffe. Jason, on the other hand, watches the match that became one of the greatest viral videos of the internet age. That’s right, The Osirian Portal vs The Runaway from CZW’s Night of Infamy 9, which gave birth to the historic “Most Illegal Move in Wrestling” video clip that got a ton of buzz.

This week, Jason has to sit through 20 minutes of rest holds, as Hulk Hogan and The Ultimate Warrior wrestle for the WWF Championship at Wrestlemania VI from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. As the precursor to a much more infamous match…what is David doing to Jason?

David, on the other hand, gets to watch the two part pilot episode of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, which gets off to a pretty heavy start. Some of the things that David wants to know: What exactly is the Cardassian occupation of Bajor? What is Dabo? What is the history of wormholes in Star Trek?
