Welcome back to Podvocacy!

This week, Jason talks about his new microphone, and discusses his thoughts on Deadpool 2. David went and saw Solo, and we have a discussion about what the box office returns mean.

In TV Talk, the guys discuss the most recent episodes of Legion, and the season 5 finale of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. The Agents are tasked with saving the world, again. Will they do it? Will they break the time loop? Will there be consequences? Maybe. Maybe. And…maybe.

Who knows what’s really happening in Legion? But we do try and make some sense of it. David is still searching for Farouk’s body, but things keep getting in the way. Things like insanity, delusions, autotuned speaking androids…you know, the usual. I’m sure it will all work out one way or another.

In Wrestling with Wrestling, we rejoice about the return of a much loved character to the Chikaraverse…also, we talk about Joe Sposto.

This week, Jason and David start off the show with discussion of why this episode is a day late. David has an expensive tale to tell…one that he’s told before. Jason, meanwhile, has had a media heavy couple of weeks, and discusses seeing Avengers: Infinity War again, and his appreciation for Thanos’ journey, as well as a new anime he’s watching.

In TV Talk, we discuss the most recent episodes of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Legion. On Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., the team is dealing with their worst possible nightmare: an Air Force general with super powers, looking to fight a Titan (not the looming threat of cancellation). While on Legion Aubrey Plaza is wearing new contacts, and Dan Stevens is playing four or five different versions of himself.

In Wrestling With Wrestling, David looks at the main event of the most recent Olde Wrestling show, Speakeasy Spectacular, which saw Judge Hugo Black take on “Orange” Julius Cassidy.

Strap in, folks, because this might end up being the longest episode in Podvocacy history.

To start, Jason and David discuss their past couple of weeks, which have been fairly uneventful. Jason tried to get caught up on the MCU before the big movie, and spent some time working on audio. David has started running again, and is chronicling that journey on Instagram. You can follow him there @dwkii

We spend a fair amount of time discussing our experiences seeing the latest entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Avengers: Infinity War. Did the movie live up to expectations? Was it everything either man wanted it to be?

In TV Talk, we’ve got two episodes of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. to discuss. We see the brief return of Jake Busey’s character, “The Candyman”. (Check out Everlasting Minute.) The writers continue to make Doctor Who references, Yoyo amps up the ruthlessness, and Talbot remains an extremely entertaining character.

We also discuss the most recent two chapters of Legion. David has a showdown with Amahl Farouk, wherein he lays out a scenario regarding David’s father and what he really was. The Monk situation gets resolved in an unexpected way, and David goes deep into Sydney’s mind, and we get some much needed character development.

Finally, in Wrestling with Wrestling, David talks about WWE’s Greatest Royal Rumble, and having gone to the latest Lucha Libre & Laughs show, and drops a Powerbomb.tv match of the week.
