you first knew ether floating in her womb

a lightness, a nothingness

an empty dark hole

that ether created for you

moving all the organs around

space to grow as an embryo

that was your home for 9 months

all you knew was peace

before the world came rushing in

ether exists in the calm, the quiet

in hollow spaces between your bones

moments when your mind is still

for as long as humans

have known this universe

we've eternally tried to fill her space

ether can only be filled with love

i'm warm enough

to melt your heart

be gentle with mine

my embers are hot enough

to set you on fire

Earth

i am most grounded and complete

when filled with your maternal energy and kissed

kissed

by droplets of dewy grass

skimming against naked skin sprinkled

sprinkled

with grains of sand

accumulating slowly over time

cushioning every footstep

revealing a transformative past of eroding

eroding

rocks

lighting up the night sky as shooting stars

once burning boulders

mountains sailing

sailing

in the sky

the smell of moist earth

floating into my consciousness

i am

most

grounded and complete

when connected to you

Warrior is about being pushed to your limits and being broken by love and discovering a strength in you. You'd expect love to be the last thing to break you. This episode is about a series of true events that have happened to me (yes I was chased by a bull, hit by a motorbike and walked over by a baby elephant). I'm still here to tell the tale.

Not all that grows in mud is dirt. The lotus flower grows in mud and is also the flower of choice that many Hindu Gods and Goddesses sit upon.  This poem is about how beauty can come from adversity.

We all hold pain somewhere. Some people are better are concealing their re-set buttons.

In this episode I shed a light on the subject of emotional triggers and healing from trauma. Triggers can come in many forms, such as a touch, a sound, a taste, a  smell, a part of your body, a phrase that sets you off. This poems is about a metaphorical button on my back.

Dalit comes from the Sanskrit word meaning broken or scattered. In India it refers to people  belonging to the lowest caste,  characterised as Untouchable

This episode explores equality and the importance of education. It's about how the Hindu caste system carries on over continents and how it can affect young minds. It is my personal experience of being a Dalit as a modern British Indian girl.
