Hey All...

If you weren’t able to be with us on “Christmas Eve”, you missed an incredible service. God just blew us away with 131 in attendance...it was amazing! This week we are blessed to have my son and family with us, and my son will be bringing the message from God’s Word. Can’t wait to hear him.

I know that a lot of you are traveling this weekend but if you are back or are still in town, I hope that you’ll come and worship with us. I believe God is going to do some amazing things in and through our lives.

So, let’s do our best to pack out Westside tomorrow morning @ 10am and don’t forget to reach out and bring someone with you.

2019-12-22 - The Cast of Christmas - Week 04

Hey All...

It was so good to be back with everyone last week and I’m very excited about what we will be focusing on tomorrow as we continue in our series called, “The Cast of Christmas”. Let me encourage you to prepare for the message by reading Matthew 2:1-12. As you do, ask yourself this question, “What was the number one reason that these “Magi” or “Wise Men” traveled so far in order to see Jesus?”

Here’s what’s coming up this week...

“Our Christmas Eve Service” on December 24th @6pm. We would love for you to join us as we share together in a candlelight communion service, a time of worship and devotion and a time of fellowship with hot chocolate and some awesome Christmas treats. We look forward to seeing you and don’t forget to invite someone to join you.

Hey Westside...

Lucy and I made it back safely from Cape Town, South Africa. We had an amazing time with family and were able to see some amazing places and some amazing things. As I mentioned last week, Cape Town is an area of extremes. You have the very wealthy but also the extremely poor. Some of the Townships, which are made up of tin shacks, are overloaded with people as well as violence. But in spite of that, as you drive through those areas, you still see kids smiling and playing and enjoying the life they have. Seeing that, helps me to put things in perspective.

I’m excited to be back with you all this week and I hope that everyone will make it a priority to be here. I really want to be able to worship with all our Westside family. We will continue in our series called... “The Cast of Christmas”. This week we will look at the part the shepherds played. I can’t wait to share this powerful message with each and every one of you. This is one of those messages that has the potential to be life changing.

We are still collecting $25.00 Target gift cards and stuff for gift bags for the “Single Mom’s Ministry, Thrive”. See Tori for what you can provide for the gift bags.

We still have a couple of families to adopt for Christmas. If you would like to share with one, please let me know.

Also, for all our men... Breakfast and Bible Study will be next Saturday, December 21st, @7:30am at the church.

• Our next “Women’s Bible Study” will be meeting this coming Tuesday night, November 26th at 6:45pm at the church.

Hey Westside...

If you weren’t able to be with us last week, it was another amazing service. God's Spirit has really been moving in and through His church here at Westside and it's such a blessing to be apart of what He is doing. That's why I encourage everyone, each and every week to be here because I don't want you to miss what God is up too.

We only have 2 weeks left in our series called, "This Means War...the Reality of Spiritual Warfare" and our focus will be on how we can overcome the enemy's attacks. To prepare your hearts for what we'll be unpacking this week, I want to encourage you to read Ephesians 6:10-13.

Here’s what’s coming up...

· Our next “Men’s Breakfast and Bible Study” will be tomorrow morning at 7:30 am at the church. I want to encourage all of our men to give it a try. It's an awesome time of food, fellowship and Bible Study.

· Don’t forget to unite with me in prayer tomorrow night @ 6pm as we cover the message, our staff and our church in prayer during our series on spiritual warfare. So, set aside a few minutes wherever you may be to pray for God’s protection and our growth in Jesus.

· Our "Operation Christmas Child Packing Party" will be right after church on Sunday so I want to encourage everyone to stay and join in on all the excitement. We will be providing Pizza and drinks for everyone.

· If you took one of our Thanksgiving meal sheets, don't forget to bring in your food items. If you didn't have an opportunity to pick one up, I'll have a few more available on Sunday Morning.

· If you would be willing to host a family for Thanksgiving day, please let me know. We want everyone to have an opportunity to share with others on this day of blessings and thanks.

I'm so excited to see everyone tomorrow morning at 10am as we worship our amazing God. Let me tell you, last week God, through His Holy Spirit just blew us away and I can't wait to see what He will do in and through our time together as we continue in our series called, “This Means War...The Reality of Spiritual Warfare”.

· Tonight, November 2nd, we are sponsoring a great event for all of our moms but especially for our single moms. It's called, "The Life and Times of Five Single Moms". This will be put on by the "Single Moms Thrive Ministry" that we partner with. Come and hear the stories of 5 incredible women, ranging in age from 70 - 90, as they share about how they raised their kids. Discover how they persevered and the glue that held the family together. It will be from 6:30 - 8:00pm.

· Don't forget to pick up your sponsor slips and sign-up for the packing party on November 17th for Operation Christmas Child.

· Tomorrow you will also have the opportunity to help with supplying food for Thanksgiving Families as we partner once again with Lewisville Elementary School.
