  • Episode 13: Trump: The Antithesis of American Politics
Joshua Hyde: "The president is the antithesis of what American politics should be. He even said he grabs women by the p%$y. That's not okay. He says and does a lot of things that cause others to think they can say and do a lot of things that we thought were dead. Now we see this rebirth of a way of thinking that divides us.
It's even hard to celebrate any success that the president may have because a lot of what he does appears to mask other intentions. There should be a very clear discussion about what needs to happen in America. As a whole, I just worry that the American people only go by what any politician says instead of figuring out what really matters to them."

  • Episode 11: How Insurance Works and Equal Access to Healthcare
    Regina Hyde:
"We need officials who will follow through. I want elected officials to make insurance easier for people to have, so that they can receive all of the care they need -- and at the highest level.
People can argue whether it's a right or not. That's not really the point. The point is having access to healthcare."

  • Episode 10: Gun Control, Now!
    Voter, Jonathan Young:
"Ban all guns. If there were no guns, no one would get shot. If that is too strong for people, we could register individual bullets and charge like $75 a piece. If a bullet costs $75, how likely would you be to just pop off in a mass shooting? Right now, a box of hollow tip bullets costs $19 dollars.
So, for pennies you could take a life. We have to make taking a life more expensive and out of reach. This could save lots of lives."

  • Episode 9: Make America Great, For Everyone
    Indiana Pointcaster Editorial:
"This is a grassroots show that makes people comfortable with sharing their personal political views. Currently, we are hearing about racism, under-employment, healthcare, human trafficking, national security, increasing property taxes in gentrified communities and education; and how we are missing the mark on all of them. Right now, politics is very different than it's been in the past; and this is leaving many voters unsure if we can truly address these issues and others and truly make America great, for the first time, for everyone."

  • Episode 8: Closing the Education Gap
Marva Hunt, Indiana University MBA Program Administrator:
"The business concept of competing to be better does not apply to education. For education, it really comes down to funding -- funding that is now less available because of the growing number of charter schools.
I don't look at party as much as I used to. In order for me to vote for someone, I think they would need to acknowledge the fact that we need to strengthen our public schools. The second thing is acknowledging that we need some intentional programing for underrepresented minorities."
