ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?!?

Episode 33 starts off with some football. The season has started and everyone is excited to talk pigskin. A quick recap on the first game of the year along with some contract extensions, injuries and more. Plus the P&P crew start a new segment within the NFL, The guys each choose a 'Lock of the Week'. Week 1 did not go well. The guys went 0-4 combined

After weeks of chirping the Blue Jays, saying there is no chance they will make a wildcard spot, the Jays currently hold a wildcard spot. The P&P boys gush over they recent play of the blue birds and the triple crown watch returns. The National Baseball HOF gain a few more inductees. Listen in to episode 33 to hear who made the cut and what the guys think.

Not much doing in the NBA or the NHL. It's the dead of the offseason, what did you expect? The NBA inducted 16 people into the Naismith Basketball HOF. The P&P guys highlight 8 of them. In the NHL there is a couple FA signings, an apparent trade request that is not being honoured and a docuseries.

The NFL regular season is just around the corner and we are about to see the Mac Jones era start. Cam is released by the Pats, is Bill crazy? A few more free agents join new teams and the Saints are on the move temporarily in the wake of hurricane Ida. Plus get each of our Superbowl picks.

Episode 31

Trades and Injuries are a plenty in the NFL this week. The preseason finishes up as the episode is recorded. There is a little smack talk but relax, it's the preseason. Nothing matters in the preseason, except a Covid outbreak.

Winning & losing streaks, records being broken, suspensions, gloves being confiscated and an immaculate inning headlines the MLB this week. There is so much to talk about, you'll have to listen in to get all the deets.

This weeks MVP is just a kid but he was dominant all week and is well deserved.

It was a slow week in the NBA. A 3 way sign and trade, some FA signing rumors and Covid vaccination mandates give us something to talk about. Plus the Raptors add a player. Find out who on episode 31.

More FA signings in the NHL. A couple of coincidentally the same contracts are handed out. A fired agent, different opinions on injury treatment and some straight up tom foolery round out the week in the big North American 4 sports.

In Points and Penalties 30th installment the guys start the show with the NFL. The Tim Tebow experiment 2.0 is over. In the MLB the P&P crew is flabbergasted that the Rays can't fill their stadium. This just in, the Rays are good...it should be no problem to fill. The Points and Penalties crew are shorthanded this week, Kev and Pete are both serving a 1 game suspension for performance enhancing drugs... (just kidding). Not to worry though Graeme is in to pinch hit and Jesse and Josh are both batting well over .300. 

The guys update you on the NBA finals as the Bucks have roared back into the lead and one game away from a championship, and along the way there have been some historic performances.

The MLB draft has come and gone, the guys update you on the top picks, the jays pick, and of course a few Canadians that were drafted. The Padres give up 8 runs in a very lopsided game... but it wasn't a game they lost, wait until you hear how many runs they put up in this one. 

The Jays have a fantastic double header, and Guerrero Jr. continues to dominate as the Jays finally receive approval to come back home to Toronto!

The all star game and home run derby were lots of fun, find out who won and who stood out, a big time player might even be this weeks MVP!

It's a frenzy in the NHL as teams scramble to make moves before the roster freeze leading up to the Seattle Kraken expansion draft. The guys let you know their thoughts on some of the big trades. The expansion lists are finalized for Seattle to choose from, some of the names left exposed are head scratchers... or are they?

Legal trouble for players, coaches and managers headline the NFL this week and an Ohio State standout punt returner/wide receiver retires after an NFL that never fully lived up to the hype. 

The Olympics take center stage in other stuff this week, and all of the drama around Messi's contract expiring seem to be much ado about nothing. 

Some bad decisions start off the penalty boxes and have you ever heard the saying "a bad carpenter blames his tools"? well seems it might apply to golf clubs as well. 

This week on Points and Penalties the Stanley Cup is awarded. The guys talk about the cup win and anticipate the boat parade in Tampa. They also chat about a signing and a trade request out of St. Louis.

The NBA Finals are in full effect. Get a recap of the games and some impressive stats and milestones from the first two games.
