Shawn's fundraiser has finally come and gone, and was a rousing success raising nearly $1400! In lieu of a regular recording, given the busy weekend, we elected to record and post a small portion of a Pokémon trivia session we hosted, where participants included past-and-future guests of the show! Naturally, Shawn messed up and didn't capture as much as he would've liked, but we hope you'll accept Shawn's apologies and enjoy the final segment that he did capture, in which our show's original guest Neil Guman displays an impressive degree of Poké-nerdiness in his victory!

Hey, remember how we got seriously sidetracked in our previous PokéMalarkey episode 13? Well we decided ad hoc to wrap things up in a bonus part-two episode! Shawn, Jesse and Tyler talk their favorite JRPGs, some groundbreaking anime, and wrap up a few Pokémon game and manga thoughts related to Indigo League Episode 13, "Mystery At The Lighthouse!"

Shawn and Jesse bring back guest Tyler Keal for round 2 to discuss Pokémon Indigo League Episode 13, "Mystery At The Lighthouse!" In this episode, a lot of show tropes are established, the gang is introduced to Bill who is simultaneously technical genius and biologist-madman, and we barely have enough time to talk about into it after getting seriously sidetracked by anime discussions.

Shawn and Jesse welcome first-time guest, fellow anime-nerd and former coworker Tyler Keal to discuss Pokémon Indigo League Episode 12, "Here Comes The Squirtle Squad!" Like everyone else, Tyler has thoughts on the questionable animal-treatment ethics in the show, but more importantly he's also happy to point out that Ash is terrible at his job, that the theme in this episode is oddly old-western, and that he's happy to indulge in our tangential Yugioh/Digimon talks.

Shawn and Jesse bring back our special guest, Samantha to discuss Pokémon Indigo League Episode 11, "Charmander - The Stray Pokémon!" Despite some minor technical difficulties (thank you so much for jumping right back online, Samantha!), we still manage to touch on some pretty deep themes surrounding childhood nurturing and the role animation in general may have played in shaping today's extremely socially aware (and active) young people!
