This week Robert went camping, so we drug up an episode from before the podcast had a name. We find out, is Dan Patrick a tool? Which Reps matter the most? What the hell is a City Manager? What do they do? Do I vote for them? Who can I pay attention to voting for to make the biggest impact.

Hello you. This week we start off talking about Congress taking Christmas off and somehow end up talking about political pay scales. Spoiler Alert, Texas is terrible at paying our legislatures. We discover why working in politics is a TERRIBLE job. Also, Why do rich white dudes use politics as something to keep them entertained in their golden years? Why can't smart people who want to do good work easily get to do that good work? As well as a tense negotiation with lots of numbers.

Lots of dudes are resigning over being predatory pieces of shit. What happens when their post is vacated? How do we solve for some men being shitty? Also Roy Moore didn't win SUCK IT PAST MALIA AND ROBERT!

Is this shit cyclical? How permanent is any of this? Are we undertaxed? How bad is this shit for the middle class? The estate tax... what that? Are living or dead people better for today's society?

We cover a LOT this week, y'all! How do you get the subgroups within the democratic party to stop hating each other? Why are Texans most likely stuck with Governor Dan Patrick in 2022? Is South Carolina more racist than Texas? Who is Anita Hill? Was Wendy Davis a good democratic candidate even though she lost HARD? Also, Robert regrets ever becoming Malia's friend on Facebook and much more.

What's happening with net neutrality? What is wrong with the FCC? Which five companies are getting paid by Netflix out the ass and what five companies want to be? Are monopolies going to destroy America? Robert hates the internet and loves google glass and Malia learns the alphabet.

This week we play an episode from our archives from before the podcast had a name! Malia learns why it's important to contact your representatives even if they fundamentally disagree with you. How do I contact them? How losing a race can still make a difference. And how to be reasonable and not be nice to your family who probably disagrees with your political viewpoints.

How bad of a first year has President Trump had comparatively? Is Rick Perry in charge of making sure the nuclear apocalypse doesn’t happen? Who’s paying off diplomats? But who is that? Is governmental atrophy worse than accomplishing a bunch of bullshit? How to get a “I’ve hit my limit and I’m about to stop caring” starter kit of what to pay attention to.
