In this episode is the final instalment of my conversation with my friend Mat, who is a teacher in the Midwest of the United States. We continue our conversation around the role history plays in our perception and our even our faith. We end with some thoughts around the change that is called for in the world and whos job is it to do that. Come along and let me know what you think, what questions do you have, is there something you disagree with?
Let me know what you think, and let me know what kind of questions you would like to hear answered on the podcast, either by me or one of the guests of the show.

In this episode I sit down with a good friend Mat, who is a really awesome Teacher and great advocate for history and the importance it plays in our lives as citizens of the world, but as Christians. As Mat is an American educator living in the Midwest, we mostly focus on history around America, but we do venture into some wider contexts. We break all the rules for conversations though, we talk about religion, and politics at a couple points. So come along and let me know what you think.

In this episode, I am pondering and sharing some raw thoughts around the idea and phraseology of, "Back in my day!" Often Christians will look at ministry, outreach, mission and the like, through the lens of how we've done it before. While this can be a useful tool, it can often get bogged down in idealizing the past, and that can do harm to our discipleship and development as humans, Christians and churches.
Listen along and let me know what you think!

In this episode we examine a parable Jesus shared in Luke 16 and ask the question, what will convince us to follow the scriptures, to follow the example of the living Word, that is Jesus Christ as laid out in the Written Word?
Scriptural references: Luke 16:19-31, Acts 4:32-36, Matthew 25 & 28

In this episode we play a little thought experiment to go back into time around the disciples. We then will look at our actions, and then look to see what happens when we welcome God into our lives.
Scriptures referenced: Jeremiah 11:18-20, Psalm 54, James 3:13-4:3, 7-8, Mark 9:30-37

In this episode, we reflect on a passage from Song of Songs, the salacious book for many Christians. I believe, it asks us a very different question than what some might think. Listen though, and let me know what you think, reach out using one of the contacts below.
