Pony 411

Hey there people, we have some more Pony 411 for you! We start this show off with some quick hits, as per the usual. Quick hits which are mostly about conventions. Seriously, that's the majority of it.But anyway, we then have our main discussion. It's all about fanon this week. Likes, dislikes, canonized fanon, and rejected fanon. Yay! Also, a bit of derailment about Metallica. And a... picture that Four String found. Good heavens. Finally, it's all wrapped up with a talk from Nemesis about issue 4 of the IDW My Little Pony comic. Enjoy!Show notes: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1fryMfXci8j7S-1Gvqen2cTFeFpJZzUrI0vKTqpwAh9s/pub

Oh boy.Afterwards, Nemesis, LordFunkyFist, and Artfan talk some more about Unicon. Yes, we're still on about that. We discuss some of the new information since last week, and rehash some old information as well. A more detailed talk of Unicon's effect on other cons is had, plus some judgements are made on the situation in general, fair or not. But then we get to the meat of the show, the recent, um, meltdown at Unicon. What went wrong, theories, speculation, and rumors, and the fandom reaction. We also talk a bit about how this might affect other cons in the future, as well as discover the official Unicon statement towards the end. Finally, Nemesis talks a bit about the first MLP Micro-series comic. So tune in!By the way, we're changing how we deliver quick hit links and whatnot to you this week. Hey there, listeners! We have a special extra episode for you guys! Big week this week for the fandom, and Nemesis and LordFunkyFist are going to talk about it. But first, they go over some quick hits. It's almost entirely about cons and merchandise. Strange, that.

But of course, they talk about the biggest news this week. So big, it shook the fandom to the core: Alicorn princess Twilight Sparkle being confirmed. Their discussion includes whether or not it will be permanent, what this means for the future, and the fandom's reaction. Oh, and the toys. Of course.

Finally, Funky brings fan art back, with 5 pieces to talk about, including a few that pertain to our main topic. Nemesis also has a fanfic to talk about, that once again involves Twilight.

Tune in later this week for a special episode consisting solely of Artfan's interview with Journey of the Spark director, Eric Ridenour.

We have a big episode for you this week! The four of us start things off with some quick hits, including some con news, MLP's expansion into Japan, more alicorn Twilight (Nemesis says it's inevitable), and more.

Moving along, we talk a bit about the recent episode, Just for Sidekicks. Some of the talk includes favorite moments, its relation to the next episode, and Spike in general. After that, we discuss the Bronies documentary. What they did right, what they did wrong. Our thoughts on it may surprise you.

And finally, fan content. Nemesis has a new fanfic to show us, and it involves Twilight, unsurprisingly. But it has Rarity too! And changelings! Plus, Four String brings out 4 songs, 2 of which from artists we've never featured before. Tune in!

Afterwards, they decide to talk about the recently released issue of the MLP comic, and they gush quite a bit about it. It's a surprisingly long discussion. All about PO-NAYS! And spiderses. Or something. Skip over 15:05 to 31:03 if you want avoid spoilers.

Finally, we get to fan content, where Nemesis grouses a bit about fanfics and then Four String talks about some music, including the recently released piece from MandoPony and AcousticBrony, AKA AcoustiMandoBrony. Tune in to hear the rambling!
