On December 28th, Kevin’s brother died, suddenly, in a motorcycle accident. So many of my interests, books, movies, TV, music and more can be directly connected to him. I’ve been struggling to find a way to express myself so these podcasts are dedicated to his life and how much he influenced me through arts and entertainment. I talk a lot in the beginning in a kind of “eulogy”, but you can skip to 22:00 if you wish not to hear that portion.

Part 1 of 2. Our cat hates kids. Kevin rolls the dice on a new anime called Kakegurui. And for our finale, a recap of our trip to Seattle for Emerald City Comic Con.

If you had an intro song what would it be? Erica and Kevin have their answer (and then a more honest answer). Erica has lots of feels for a new anime, “Yuri On Ice”, which leads to a long geek out about marching band and drum corps memories. We finish it off with a gushing review of Blank Panther.

Kevin has a dream about going on a killing spree of all of his friends and now it is up to Erica to protect them. We solve the mystery of Ogopogo (it’s not hard). Finishing it up on interspecies erotica with the new Guillermo del Toro film The Spape of Water.

Riker is a bad influence on Wesley. Erica took a field trip to the worst convenience store. Kevin finds a new music love with The Smith Street Band. Erica loves the 80s anime Saint Seiya and talks books with “Sleepless” and “Mirror”.

Kevin reluctantly talks about starting a bar brawl at Erica’s company Christmas party when he was 21. He also is excited to take Erica to the worst convenience store in the world. Then a whole lot of thoughts on Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Do you remember listening stations at record stores? Soundscapes at Target? We sure do. Try not to have a  foodgasm as Erica talks about the anime Food Wars. Kevin reviews Ready Player One for another episode full of 80s nostalgia. Then we sit down with Dark Knights of the Round Table to discuss Justice League.
