This week we have another director's lottery on our hands, the winner was Sam Wood - we decided to join the Marx Brothers for a Night at the Opera. Elsewhere on the show, we are covered by surreal Scandanavian black comedy Men & Chicken, lilting Japanese drama Sweet Bean, Fritz Lang wartime Noir Hangmen Also Die and the newest addition to the Second Run Stable - People of the Mountains. Let's not forget this week's mammoth Question of the Week which isn't TOO offensive.

We are still in a transitionary phase, we still have a few niggling issues that we are ironing out week by week. Elsewhere on the show we have the good, the very bad and the weird. We have the weird represented by Giallo the Bloodstained Butterfly, the good comes in Kubrick's classic Dr Strangelove and lost 1970s comedy starring Peter Falk and Alan Alda in The In-Laws before finishing on the bad with Microwave Massacre. This week's headline act was shark 'em-up, The Shallows.

This week we debut as an online show, so the sound quality is a work in progress.

We launch a new feature this week. Elsewhere it's business as usual only with an added sprinkling of Tarkovsky in Solaris and Mirror. Sandwiching those two is Jason Bourne and Female Prisoner Scorpion: 701. Our film of the week is DC's newest - Suicide Squad.

With Question of the Week, Trailer Watch and all the regulars - this week marks the end of an era. We looked at Alex Ross Perry's acclaimed Queen of Earth, obscure oddity Taking Tiger Mountain and Turkish Horror Baskin before capping the show off with Spielberg's' adaptation of Roald Dahl's The BFG.

There's a lot of bags full of exotic goods this week. We play host to some of British cinema's finest eccentrics with Julien Temple's Absolute Beginners and Ken Russell's Crime of Passion. The counter-programming with the Taviani Brothers Kaos and the latest entry into the Police Story franchise with Lockdown. Our film of the week was the latest addition to the director's lottery - Cecil B DeMille's Cleopatra.

his week, we return from the badlands of the director's lottery and sink our teeth into a bout of Neon Demon vs the Dayglo Cenobite. We had a minority report on the new Ghostbusters - spoiler, it's actually good, before heading into Off the Shelf complete with Book review. Then we set off for Play On! Shakespeare in Silent Film, Ron Howard's Cocoon and Around China with a Movie Camera. We do eclectic well. Our film of the week was the aptly titled and surprisingly divisive Neon Demon.

Turns out as something of an Arrow Special this week. Starting with classic Western the Ox-bow Incident before going full cult with Jack Hill's the Swinging Cheerleaders, unknown 80s slasher Satan's Blade and finishing with creature feature parody with return of the killer tomatoes. Our film of the week another director lottery title with Tobe Hooper's Lifeforce.

This week, our directors lottery has its 2nd outing and we couldn't be happier with the result. In off the shelf we look at 1993 existential noir Suture, Tarkovsky's legendary debut Ivan's Childhood, Pasolini's Pigsty and intense political documentary Citizenfour. Our Featured film and 2nd director of choice was Joe Dante with his 1987 film, Innerspace.

This week, we had more from the long AWOL minority report for Apichatpong Weerasethakul's Cemetery of Splendor before diving into business as usual - or near enough. Off the Shelf featured Koreeda Hirokazu's Our Little Sister, Richard Loncraine's Richard III, 1987 film A Month in the Country before finishing with an Eclectica exclusive in Lowlife Love. Our feature presentation was Matteo Garrone's Tale of Tales.

Weird revelations aplenty on this week's Eclectica. Join us as we look at Frankenheimer's subversive classic Seconds, forgotten early Altman in The Cold Day in the Park, Alan Clarke's dense folk minefield Penda's Fen and one of the films lost under the radar releases from 2014 - 99 Homes. Our film of the week was Hiromasa Yonebayashi's Anime When Marnie was There.
