We return with the most suggestively titled episode yet. In off the Shelf, we saw and conquered a ménage à trois that included Adam Sandler's Pixels, Sion Sono's manic epic Love Exposure, and the catastrophic 'making of' Lost Soul: The Doomed Journey of Richard Stanley's Island of Dr Moreau. Our Film of the Week is Joel Edgerton's feature-length debut The Gift.

This week on Off the Shelf we have a trifecta of messed up movies and work our way down the ladder of sleaze from the relativity presentable Aguirre, Wrath of God to Borowczyk's Immoral Tales - with a stop-off at Snowtown along the way. The counterpoint to all of this is the absolutely lovely Film of the Week - Pixar's Inside Out.

We destroy more childhood favourites this week - you have been warned. Our packed "Off the Shelf" section features the 2009 cult horror The Loved Ones, the Iranian new-wave classic The Apple, and Anand Patwardhan's gripping nuclear documentary War & Peace. After that, we calm down and return to Earth with the inimitable Ginger in Beware of Mr Baker. Our Film of the Week is the climactic part of Marvel's phase 2 in Ant-Man.

Instead of getting lost in all of the news from San Diego's Comic-Con we decided to keep the show relatively normal … well, as normal as it gets around here anyway. We have a fairly eccentric "Off the Shelf" section with reviews for Happiness of the Katakuris, Asif Kapadia's documentary about Amy Winehouse - simply titled "Amy", Walerian Borowczyk's Blanche, and Fuku-Chan of Fukufuku Flats from Third Window. Our Film of the week is Dear White People - Justin Simien's controversial satire about race relations.

In this week's "Off the Shelf" we take a look United Passions - the controversial FIFA movie with the questionable existence, Magic Mike XXL, Satoshi Kon's anime thriller Perfect Blue, and the 1980's cult-monster Society. Our Film of the Week is the overly-marketed, nonsensical Terminator Genisys.

This week we're neck-deep in a crazy heatwave - which makes for a much looser show because of all the melting brains.

Our featured movies in our "Off The Shelf" section are Samuel Fuller's Forty Guns, Frank Borzage's lost film-noir Moonrise and Eli Roth's latest confusing effort Knock Knock. All of that leads us to our fantastically fun Film of the Week - John Maclean's Slow West.

Any time we get the news that can give us the inspiration for an episode where we can cite Groucho Ninja Mutant Turtles - we know it's generally going to be a good week.

In "Off The Shelf" we take a look at Albert Serra and Second Run's Story of My Death, "Mr Hammer Horror" Terence Fisher's Hounds of the Baskervilles and Tom Hardy's solo road trip feature Locke, and our Film Of The Week is the much-maligned and misunderstood Mr Holmes.

After getting lost in the deep, dark shrubbery that is the news (and thus making this one of our longest shows so far), we dive straight into the still waters of "Off the Shelf" with an eclectic mix of silver-screen goodness.

On this episode Ryan looks at The Legend is Born: Ip Man, P-Rob blatantly makes stuff up with the Japanese animated kid's movie Welcome To The Space Show, and Graham investigates Joshua Oppenheimer's The Look of Silence. After that, things get prehistoric with Jurassic World.

This episode sees us go rogue once more. We get right into things with two trailers of the week before diving into a vast collection of titles - both old and new. In "Off the Shelf" we take a look at the Oscar-nominated Argentinian movie Wild Tales, Elia Kazan's Wild River and South Korean murder-mystery Tell Me Something. All of that forms a nice lead-in to the second meeting of the B-Sides Club - and this time we're featuring The Falling, A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night and Studio Ghibli's latest release - The Tale of Princess Kaguya.

On this week's episode we take a look at Peter Bogdanovich's Paper Moon, eccentric French auteur-extraordinaire Jean Rollin's Lost in New York, the underappreciated Miyazaki gem Porco Rosso and, well… dumb internet nonsense leads us to Kung Fury. Our Film of the Week is Man Up - the latest in a string of interesting romantic comedies.
