Wicked: For Good (also known as Wicked: Part Two) is a 2025 American musical fantasy film directed by Jon M. Chu and written by Winnie Holzman and Dana Fox. The sequel to Wicked (2024), it adapts the second act of the 2003 stage musical by Stephen Schwartz and Holzman, which was loosely based on Gregory Maguire's 1995 novel, a reimagining of L. Frank Baum's 1900 novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and its 1939 film adaptation. Ariana Grande,[b] Cynthia Erivo, Jonathan Bailey, Ethan Slater, Bowen Yang, Michelle Yeoh, and Jeff Goldblum return from the first film. Set in the Land of Oz before and during the events of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, the film explores the relationship between Elphaba and Glinda as they embrace their new identities as the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good.

Universal Pictures and Marc Platt, who both produced the stage musical, announced the film adaptation in 2012. After a long development and multiple delays, partly due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Chu was hired as the director with Erivo and Grande cast in 2021. The adaptation was split into two parts to avoid omitting plot points and further develop the characters. Principal photography on both films began in December 2022 in England, was interrupted in July 2023 by the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike, and resumed and concluded in January 2024.

Wicked: For Good premiered at the Suhai Music Hall in São Paulo on November 4, 2025, and was released in the United States on November 21. While critics responded less positively to the film than its predecessor, the film was commercially successful, grossing $253.8 million worldwide on a $150 million budget.

The Running Man is a 2025 dystopian action thriller film produced and directed by Edgar Wright and written by Wright and Michael Bacall. It is the second adaptation of the 1982 novel by Stephen King, following the 1987 film. The cast includes Glen Powell, William H. Macy, Lee Pace, Michael Cera, Emilia Jones, Daniel Ezra, Jayme Lawson, Sean Hayes, Colman Domingo, and Josh Brolin.

The Running Man premiered at Odeon Luxe Leicester Square, London, on 5 November 2025. It was released in the UK on 12 November, and was released in the US on 14 November, by Paramount Pictures. The film received mixed reviews, though many critics considered it to be an improvement over the original.

Predator: Badlands is a 2025 American science fiction action film and the ninth installment in the Predator franchise. The film was directed by Dan Trachtenberg and written by Patrick Aison from a story by Trachtenberg and Aison. Elle Fanning and Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi star in leading roles. In the film, Dek, a young Yautja exiled from his clan, crash-lands on a hostile planet and must prove himself worthy of the hunt. Struggling to survive, he forms an unlikely alliance with Thia, a damaged Weyland-Yutani Corporation synthetic, as they face off against a terrifying apex creature that challenges both human and Predator instincts for survival.

Predator: Badlands had its world premiere at the TCL Chinese Theatre on November 3, 2025, and was theatrically released in the United States by 20th Century Studios on November 7, 2025. The film received positive reviews from critics and has grossed $90.8 million worldwide against a $105 million budget.

Die My Love is a 2025 American black comedy-drama[under discussion] film directed by Lynne Ramsay, and written by Ramsay, Enda Walsh and Alice Birch, based on the 2012 novel Die, My Love by Ariana Harwicz. It follows Grace (Jennifer Lawrence), a young mother who develops postpartum depression and, alongside her partner, Jackson (Robert Pattinson), enters into psychosis. The supporting cast includes LaKeith Stanfield, Nick Nolte and Sissy Spacek.

The film had its world premiere at the main competition of the 2025 Cannes Film Festival on May 17 2025, where it was nominated for the Palme d'Or and received generally positive reviews. It was theatrically released in the United States by Mubi on November 7.

The Mastermind is a 2025 heist film written and directed by Kelly Reichardt. The film stars Josh O'Connor, Alana Haim, Hope Davis, John Magaro, Gaby Hoffmann and Bill Camp. Set in 1970, the film follows a struggling family man who secretly plots to steal art from a sleepy suburban museum while the nation rages over the Vietnam War. Reichardt described the film as a struggle between the allure of individualism and the necessity of collective action. The film was inspired by a mixture of real-life events and classic films, including the 1972 robbery of the Worcester Art Museum and the films of Jean-Pierre Melville.

The film had its world premiere at the main competition of the 2025 Cannes Film Festival on May 23, where it was nominated for the Palme d'Or, and was released in the United States by Mubi on October 17.

Bugonia is a 2025 absurdist black comedy film directed by Yorgos Lanthimos. It is an English-language remake of the 2003 South Korean film Save the Green Planet! by Jang Joon-hwan. It follows two young men who kidnap a powerful CEO, suspecting that she is secretly an alien who wants to destroy Earth. A co-production of Ireland, South Korea, and the United States, the film stars Emma Stone, Jesse Plemons, Aidan Delbis, Stavros Halkias, and Alicia Silverstone.

Development on the film began as early as 2020, with Jang attached to direct and Will Tracy adapting the screenplay. Ari Aster came on board as producer soon after, and by February 2024, Lanthimos was hired to direct, replacing Jang, while Stone joined the project both as an actress and producer. Plemons joined the cast that May, and it was soon acquired by Focus Features for distribution at the Cannes Film Festival. Principal photography began in July in High Wycombe, England, and Atlanta, Georgia, and during which time, the rest of the cast was announced. Additional filming took place in May 2025 in Milos, Greece. With an estimated budget of $45-$55 million, Bugonia is Lanthimos' most expensive film.

Bugonia had its world premiere in the main competition of the 82nd Venice International Film Festival on August 28, 2025, and was theatrically released in the United States by Focus Features on October 24. It received positive reviews, with critics praising the performances of Plemons and Stone.

Nadia & Mark Review Palestine 36 (Arabic: فلسطين ٣٦) - a 2025 historical drama written and directed by Annemarie Jacir. It stars Hiam Abbass, Kamel El Basha, Yasmine Al Massri, Jalal Altawil, Robert Aramayo, Saleh Bakri, Liam Cunningham and Jeremy Irons. The film recounts the 1936–1939 Arab revolt against British colonial rule in Palestine.

The film had its world premiere in the Gala Presentations section of the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival on 5 September, to a 20 minute standing ovation. The film was released in the United Kingdom on 31 October 2025, by Curzon Film, and in France on 14 January 2026, by Haut et Court. It was selected as the Palestinian entry for the Best International Feature Film at the 98th Academy Awards.

Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere is a 2025 American biographical musical drama film starring Jeremy Allen White as Bruce Springsteen. Written and directed by Scott Cooper, and based on the 2023 book Deliver Me from Nowhere by Warren Zanes, as well as some elements from Springsteen's autobiography Born to Run, it chronicles Springsteen's personal and professional struggles during the conception of his 1982 album Nebraska. The film also stars Jeremy Strong, Paul Walter Hauser, Stephen Graham, and Odessa Young.
