The Birth of our flagship show "Rockmundial", which later had its own channel.

IT`S THE 10th ANNIVERSARY !

It started all on

TUESDAY,  July, 26th, 2011
presented live over the live stream from BAD OEYNHAUSEN via Florida back to Paris by Yours Truly, Joe !

BIERHAUS BROESEL, an internationally known place for good music and good beers, hosted Popmundial Radio for the first ever live experiment - across borders !

Music selection: Ralph Neuman, Bierhaus Broesel
Bad Oeynhausen, Germany

slightly edited by: Yours Truly !
presentation left in original shape - as broadcasted that day live
production: Popmondial Paris, 2021

THE TECHNOLOGY AT THAT TIME DIDN´T ALLOW CROSS FADES - SO EASILY:!
Please apologies that I HAD TO EDIT THE WHOLE AND DELETE THE PAUSES BETWEEN TRACKS.

This format was formerly known as "Classic Tuesday".

Bands played include:
("classic long rock and recorded live versions")
by:

Joe Bonamassa
Prince
Deep Purple
Amy Winehouse
Killing Joke
Pigbag
Atlantis
Phillip Boa & The Voodooclub
Iggy Pop
Duran Duran
Mark Ronson & Amy Winehouse
Lenny Kravitz
Bruce Springsteen  & The E Street Band
...
and ends with DAF

Rockmundial  continues today every Saturday
(and as announced on Popmundial´s Twitter)
as play off to our Beach Party from 6pm Paris
Popmundial Special

This show has been broadcasted live on that day by former Radio 2, today Popmundial Easy

The Birth of our flagship shows

Bigband Bash and Millionsellers - ALL IN MONO

We´d just started mid November 2009
A Popmunial Rarity, which survived !

Always anchored on a Sunday evening !
First placed at 6pm then at 8pm, the show moved further and today is integrated in Bigband music in stereo at 6pm/9pm and mirrored for the Americas six hours later.

Keep on swinging with Popmundial;

This is the 4th show which originated the name of GLOBETROTTING FOR EUROSHOWTIME to Popmundial !

It was the first solo show of 7 (8 including the opening show "presenting Dana", the original Maria Magdalena of Andrew Lloyd Webber´s concept version of "Jesus Christ Superstar"):

presented by Dana Gillespie

recorded at Vienna Sound Studios, Vienna, Summer 2000
UNRELEASED, never broadcasted ! Slightly re-edited in 2021

This show was recorded for Popmundial´s early businesses of Euroshowtime and Radio Baden FM.

presented by
SUPERSTAR DANA GILLESPIE

the original first ever "Maria Magdalena" in Andrew Lloyd Webber´s musical "Jesus Christ Superstar" in 1972/73, a singer-songwriter

Producer´s Note:
Popmundial was called Euroshowtime at that time and got funding by the Bavarian State and the European Council. It was a time where we were negotiating a take-over of ORF´s "Blue Danube Radio", an English spoken FM radio in that region. But we failed at the GEMA and went to London afterwards. Shortly we run "Radio Baden, Vienna", but had all administrative problems, you can imagine !

as PODCAST !

It was recorded as EUROSHOWTIME
Sound Engineer: Helmut Portele
Production: Dietmar Bohne
Presenter: Dana Gillespie
Editor-in-Chief: Dietmar Bohne
