His passion for Porsche led him to purchase his first 911, a 997.2 cabriolet. With fantastic LA roads at his doorstep Amir decided to add a second 911, a glacier white 993 from 1998. Amir has a strong bond with his Porsches and undertakes the maintenance on both cars.

As a kid he attended the 'North American International Auto Show' each year with his father - fuelling his passion. Then there were the 911s in movies. After seeing that now iconic black 964 Turbo in ‘Bad Boys’ and the silver 996 in ‘Gone in 60 Seconds’ was enough for Ryan to get hooked. Not only that his father-in-law owned a 1966 911 in Polo red. What followed? Well first a Macan as a daily and then not long after Ryan got his first 911 a well sorted 996.2 Cabriolet. A 911 that he has always wanted.

In today’s PorscheCooled Podcast Michael presents episode 15 of owner stories with Nick from the UK. Influenced by his Aunty's beetle especially 'its noise and air-cooled clatter' Porsche and classics have always been on top of Nick's list. We should mention he also owns a very cool ‘70’s Series III Land Rover alongside his recently acquired ’68 Porsche 912. A great two car garage that’s for sure! Like most of us, Nick never thought he we would own a Porsche. So, a few Porsches and years later, having owned Boxsters and a 944, Nick now owns his first Air-cooled Porsche - a 912 imported from the U.S. Nick reckons he just got lucky finding a good one, but it seems that the research, getting to know the seller (and the car) albeit remotely all contributed to a rewarding experience.

On top of all that Nick’s passion for classic cars extends into photographing and writing about them. A passion he shares with the community through his classicsforcarers.com , an event he founded to support the National Health Service (NHS) in the UK.

His last car was a ’72 Ford Mustang Mach 1, far removed from his recently acquired 1957 356A (T1) ‘barn find’. How did this all come about? Well, the 356A was spotted by Todd’s buddy and had been sitting dormant in a garage for the last 43 years. A one off find, and  in surprisingly good condition, Todd has already begun restoration of his 356 outlaw project. A rewarding and unique experience for Todd and a great PorscheCooled owners’ story.
