  • Buy the Porsche 911 you want
In today’s PorscheCooled Podcast Michael and Steve chat about all-wheel drive 911s. Not always the purists choice, but when buying a 911 (whether it be your first or last) you should always buy what you like.
Michael went on a drive to Goodwood last Sunday with Nick, a fellow Porsche enthusiast from the UK. Nick owns a 2006 Carrera 4S in manual so Michael reflects on the differences to his rear wheel drive 997 Carrera.

  • Do you really need a GT3
In today’s PorscheCooled Podcast Michael and Steve chat about the Porsche 911 (997) GT3 and what all the fuss is all about.
Steve is well versed in the 997 Generation GT3 after owing one for the last 6 years. So what is the fuss all about? Is the 997 GT3 too hardcore and does Michael still want one? Well, all is discussed in this episode. Be warned, we do go off track so to speak.

  • A sense of occasion – owning a Porsche 911
In today’s PorscheCooled Podcast Michael and Steve chat about what Porsche 911 ownership is really like.
Michael has just finished his London 14 day quarantine and explains his microphone technique using the fist method. Steve is not bragging but mentions he has been in 911’s for so long he is just used to it. The discussion continues with perceptions of Porsche owners and expectations of 911/997 ownership - including the driving experience and practicality. Oh, and Michael manages to mention the Porsche 912, but only once.

  • The next Fuchs - favourite Porsche 911 wheels
Welcome back to another PorscheCooled Podcast.
Today we are discussing wheels - Porsche wheels. Today with modern 911s there are so many choices but that has not always been the case. In the 1970's and 1980's and even with the 964 generation 911 in the 1990's you only had a couple of choices for factory wheels. So, what's the best 911 wheel? Well it's very subjective and not an easy question to answer. Personally I think the 997 generation Carrera S wheel will become as iconic as the Fuchs and cookie cutters from the '70's and '80's, Steve disagrees and explains his passion behind 911 wheel choices as well as his current GT3 wheels.
Steve (@gtst3ve) is a Porsche owner and enthusiast from Sydney, Australia. Steve has owned 3 generations of the Porsche 911 including air and water cooled. Today he drives a very cool 2008 first generation 997 Porsche GT3. This podcast is part of a series with Steve where two mates chat about all things Porsche.
    Thanks for listening.

  • Can you improve on 911 perfection?
Welcome back to another PorscheCooled Podcast.
There are lots of updates you can do to your Porsche 911 and the 997 is no exception. The fact is with 70% of Porsches still on the road the passion is strong as are the craftsman, specialists and artisans that enjoy working on them and making parts for them. Can you improve on 911 perfection? Well, in todays podcast Steve (@gtst3ve), my mate, Porsche owner an enthusiast from Sydney joins me again to chat about the fun we have had with our 911's.
This podcast is part of a series with Steve where we will chat about all things Porsche.
    Thanks for listening.

  • Porsche is the car you buy because you love driving - back to basics
Welcome back to another PorscheCooled Podcast.
Today I thought we could talk about Porsche options, you know that endless list on the Porsche online configurator when specifying your new Porsche 992 911. Does a fully optioned 911 really add to the 911 / Porsche experience? Isn't owning a 911 more about the drive?
We also chat about my week, plans and the Porsche 912 - again.
I wanted to give you an extra episode this week so I am recording this podcast episode solo without Steve (Insta @gtst3ve). We will be recording our next podcast together later tonight and it will go live in a few days. Be sure to stay tuned for that one (or follow and you will be notified).
    Thanks for listening.

  • Making the Porsche 997 Sound Better
Welcome back to another PorscheCooled Podcast.
Today we are joined again by Steve (@gtst3ve) my mate and a Porsche owner and enthusiast from Sydney, Australia. Steve has owned 3 generations of the Porsche 911 including air and water cooled. Today he drives a very cool 2008 first generation 997 Porsche GT3. I thought a good topic for discussion would be improving the sound of the 911, in particular the 997 generation which we both own. Steve has installed a few different exhausts on his GT3 so we have lots to talk about.
This podcast is part of a series with Steve where we will chat about all things Porsche.
    Thanks for listening.
