What a wonderful picture we have of our wonderful Lord when we study the manna that God sent down from heaven for Israel in the wilderness.

When the Lord in grace saved a publican, it was proof that no soul is too far away from God, or too deep in sin, that the Lord cannot save them.

The Lord Jesus Christ said that the manna that fell from heaven in the wilderness was a type of Himself. So, when we study the manna, we can see the Saviour in every description given.

The dear Lord Jesus came into he world to save sinners. He was prepared to minister to all no matter who they were or what was their background. One such person was the woman of Samaria.

Unfortunately, many who have been blessed by the grace of God, do not show how much they appreciate the goodness of the Lord, but instead they murmur against the Lord. The Lord has a message for all murmurers.

Saul of Tarsus terrorised the followers of Christ before his conversion. No on dare stop him, all we're afraid of him, until the Lord brought him to his knees, the terrorist had been tamed. The Lord able to bring the worst of sinners to their knees and save them by His grace.

The travelling of the children of Israel towards the land of promise, may be likened unto the Christian's journey towards heaven. There may be trials and troubles along the way, but the Lord knows the way through the wilderness, all we have to do is follow.

It is always interesting to note where the Holy Spirit meets with sinners and brings them to a saving knowledge of Christ. We read about one man who was saved from his sin while sitting in his chariot.

Like the children of Israel, when a soul is delivered from the house of bondage, they begin a journey to, heaven, the land of promise. That pilgrimage leads through this wilderness of world, with trouble and trials alone the way.

It is amazing to see how the Providence of God brings the gospel message to those who have never heard.
