I first met Lysa Hawkins at 2018's New York Comic Con 2018. She had just joined valiant Comics then. Three years later and a pandemic, I finally get to talk to her about her career from when she first started in the Marvel Bullpen to her present as Senior Editor at Valiant. We also discuss the status of Valiant Comics, and Anthony Bourdain's comics.

Brian and I discuss the origins of the new DC Comics' CRIME SYNDICATE mini-series. We talk plots vs. scripts and why he feels there's an upside to using a plot in this collaborative medium, especially when giving artists choices. Finally, he reveals what he learned from Paul Levitz when it comes to writing and juggling the massive cast of The Legion of Super-Heroes.

It was a lot of fun talking with Desiree Rodriquez. Sebastian provides some really great detail on his approach to writing so this interview is great for the editors and writers out there.
