  • Pivoting Within Your Purpose

#117// Are you experiencing a pivot within your purpose?  I am, and can I just tell you . . . it feels a little "bouncy" in here right now! But here's the thing:

A signal to pivot within your purpose doesn't mean you are wrong. It doesn't necessarily mean you heard wrong or that you've been going in the wrong direction. It can simply mean, "Let's make a small course adjustment. I want to show you something over here." These course corrections are where we find refinement, character building, strength, resiliency, fresh perspective, provision and upgrades, in Christ Jesus.

In this episode of the Positioned to Prosper podcast, I'm sharing six strategies for navigating the pivot that can come within purpose that will help you to stay the course with Jesus, successfully avoiding confusion, distraction, overwhelm and burnout as you adjust. Do you need these six strategies? If so, grab your Bible, your journal and a pen, and . . . Let's Go!

  • Pioneering By His Grace

#116// Are you ready to pioneer in this season by God's grace?

It sounds like a great idea, right? "Oh, YES, we're definitely going to rely on His grace for everything we do!" But then we step in and get started, and it starts to feel like a grind, slow going -- or worse -- like you're spinning your wheels. Why isn't it working?

In this week's episode of the Positioned to Prosper podcast, I'm sharing a message from a recent REVIVE Woman Girls Night Out event where I talked about what it's going to take to pioneer excellently and effectively with Jesus in this season as we bring the Kingdom. We need to be "fit" -- spirit, soul and body -- if we're going to pioneer successfully, and there are specific things you can do to get fit in each of these areas. But you'd do best to get there by His grace and not in your own strength and striving.

Are you ready to be reminded on what it's going to take to pioneer excellently and effectively with Jesus in this season to bring the Kingdom and to disciple others to do it, too? If so, I want you to grab your Bible, your journal and a pen, and . . . Let's Go!

  • The Rise of the Reformer in a Revivalist Culture

#115// Revival has had the spotlight for decades in the Church, but God says it's time for Reformation. It's time for the Reformers to rise.

The Church has been in a decades-long love affair with the pursuit of revival. And while I'm obviously a big fan of any move of God that would ignite the hearts of the sons and daughters of God to worship and praise Him and to bring Him Glory as His wonder working power is manifest in the earth and carried from generation to generation . . .

Revival is not sustainable without good theology and a people who are steadfast on the foundation of Christ. We are a Church who has, in many ways, fallen away from our first love. We've allowed bad habits to inhabit our meetings and our culture as we primarily pursue His signs, miracles and wonders and the "feeling" of God moving in meetings. We've not properly concerned ourselves with things like holiness and sanctification, repentance and a passion for right alignment, leaning instead into concepts of hyper-mercy and codependency as the world teaches us that this is what it really looks like to be "Christian." We've learned to be more "in our feels" than in full obedience to Him. But there is a shift coming . . .

In the next five to ten years, I believe "church" is going to look very different. God is calling the Church into a position where we will be an army of believers who know how to preach the Good News with power, a servant-hearted family of God who can traverse suffering AND sit at the King's table, a righteous remnant who prays effectively, and a disciplined community of disciplers who can confidently lead others into how to follow the real and living Jesus with humility and confidence. To get to this place of "different," it will take God's Reformers to rise up and to begin to lead the people into this place of divine alignment and righteous reconciliation with the plan, purpose and pattern that God has for the Church in these last days.

Reformation and revival are two very different things. They don't sound alike, they don't feel the same and they certainly don't gather people the same way. The timelines are different and the fruit doesn't develop according to the same pattern. So if you were designed as a reformer and you've been comparing yourself to revivalists, understand -- you've been comparing apples with oranges.

On this episode of the podcast, I'm sharing the difference between a reformer and a revivalist and why I believe it is absolutely essential that the Church catches the pivot of God in this season. He's bringing a wave of reformation, and it's time for the reformers to rise. If you're a reformer who needs to be reminded and refreshed in this season when you're being called to stand steadfast and not be moved as you make your sound, I want you to grab your Bible, your journal and a pen, and . . . Let's Go!

  • Prophetic Perspective for 2023

#114// What is God doing in the Church as we step into a new year? While I do not consider myself a "big P" prophet, I do believe the Lord speaks to all of us and each of us has the ability to prophesy by the anointing and power of God. Every year, right around the end of September, the Lord will begin to speak to me about the coming year. This year was no different, and I have some things I feel assigned to share with you about the Church in this season and how we are to position ourselves to bring the Kingdom and to bring Him glory. So let me ask you . . .

    Are you ready to Pioneer?

On this episode of the podcast, I'm unpacking a word on Pioneering and the rise of the Ekklesia in this hour. Let's dig in together. Grab your Bible, your journal and a pen, and . . . Let's Go!

  • So, What Are You Going to Do?

#113// You know the thing I'm talking about, right? That thing that's convinced you it's not going to move, and you're just going to have to deal with it, as is? Yeah, that thing. What are you going to do about it as you step into a new year?

I'm not one who's much for new year's resolutions, but I will admit that the turning of a new year consistently presents with a sense of fresh possibility. So, why not ride the wave?

And in true Positioned to Prosper style, let's go after the "big one," shall we? Let's run at fear that tries to convince us our situation won't get any better than it is right now. The fear that dangles the thing you've been wanting to see change in, or at least some positive movement on -- that thing that just needs to HAPPEN already -- right in front of you, and then says, "Not gonna happen, so just settle down and accept it already!" Yeah, let's run at that bad boy, shall we? And let's tell it who our God is!

On this episode of the podcast, I'm challenging you to go after the Big One with fresh vigor as we step into the new year. Because -- hear me in this -- you were MADE to win! Even through this thing that seems impossible, you were made to win. You are more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus, and in Him you have the victory. So if you're ready to get a little riled up, and then inspired to grab ahold of faith that God will do what He has promised no matter what it looks like right now, I want you to grab your Bible, your journal and a pen, and . . . Let's Go!

  • Are You a Luke 8 Lady? Building a Business to Bring the Kingdom

#112// Are you a Spirit-filled woman who's looking to launch and build a Kingdom business or ministry in the coming year, and you want some help on how to get started?  A little over a year ago, I felt the Lord urging me to form a small collective of entrepreneurial women out of those already gathered inside The Jesus Girl Gang (my online discipleship mentorship) who wanted to build businesses that could ultimately fund Kingdom endeavors. He was calling me to gather the Luke 8 Ladies.

Have you ever read the portion of scripture in Luke 8, verses 1-3? It references a few women who traveled with Jesus and His disciples as He ministered in the cities and villages throughout the region. The story goes that they funded Jesus' ministry out of their own substance. Women . . . funding the work of the Lord in the earth in Biblical times!

This is the sort of collective of women God is calling me to gather right now: A group of women who want to fund the Lord's work in the earth today by planning, building, launching, growing and establishing successful businesses by following Biblical principles, and flowing income from these endeavors into projects and causes that build the His Kingdom. So I've gotta ask . . . Are you one of these women?

One hurdle I experienced in this last year as I considered this assignment was a considerable amount of doubt. I was doubtful that I was the girl for this job because I hadn't yet built my business and ministry to a size that I thought "qualified" me to help women in this area.

But the Lord spoke to me a couple months ago and said, "Erica, the ones I'm calling you to help are the ones who need to finally START and NOT STOP. The ones I want you to help are the ones who struggle with the details of how to get something going, and then they get overwhelmed when it's time to keep going without quitting. You are designed and equipped to help those women to vision, plan, start, build, launch, grow and establish the business I've placed in their hearts, and you can show them how to get to a consistent monthly income flowing that will grow as they faithfully continue." So what do you think I said to Him?

You KNOW I said YES! In this episode of the Positioned to Prosper podcast I'm launching the Luke 8 Ladies Founders Offer. I'm sharing what it means to be a modern-day Luke 8 Lady, why I'm passionate to help and encourage women who identify as Luke 8 Ladies, and why I'm qualified to coach this collective of women as we build Kingdom businesses together, side by side. I'll also share a little bit of what we're going to be covering in this first year of the collective, as we meet monthly and chat regularly around all things business building in the Kingdom.

Does this sound like something God has for you in this season? Are you ready to START and NOT STOP and to push past the overwhelm to grow something with God that is meant to have an impact in the earth today? Are you meant to be a Luke 8 Lady? If so, I want you to grab your Bible, your journal and a pen, and let's get into this episode!

  • A Kingdom Approach to Visioning & Planning

#111// What does it look like to vision and make a plan in the Kingdom?

Years ago, I felt the Lord urge me to look and see what the Bible had to say about goals and goal setting. When I did, I found that goals -- at least the way we define and approach goals in our culture -- aren't really godly. Now, that's a big statement, I know, but it's important to run everything through the filter of scripture, right? And so as I did that, I came to understand that, while our present culture's take on goals isn't very godly, goals *can* actually be used in a godly manner -- as a tool -- to help us hold focus on Kingdom endeavors we're engaged in. Goals can be like a "budget" for our time and effort. The key is always going to be to ask: "Who's informing and approving the budget?"

In this episode of the Positioned to Prosper podcast, we're going to go one step beyond contemplating if goals are godly (we've established that they can be on an earlier episode), to step into how to create this "time and effort budget" for the coming year in a Kingdom way. So if you're ready to get into it, I want you to grab your Bible, your journal and a pen, and . . . Let's Go!

  • Camping Your Life Around the Promises of God

#110// You'll start to see the promises of God come to pass when you make a decision to camp your life around what God has said.

On this episode of the Positioned to Prosper podcast, I'm inviting you to pull up a chair for a virtual "coffee talk" as we discuss what it's really going to take to see the promises of God come to pass in our lives. I describe it like setting up camp around His promises, much like you'd set up a real-life campsite around a substantial campfire. I'm sharing four steps you can take to radically camp your life around the promises of God, to see them come to pass. Are you ready to get into this? If so, I want you to grab your Bible, your journal and a pen, and . . . Let's Go!

  • Why You're Not Seeing It Yet

#109// Have you been wondering why you're not seeing what God has promised yet?  Even though God has promised to perform His word when the time is right (Isaiah 60:22), there might still be something you're doing (or not doing) to cause a "delay" in its fulfillment. But what's really neat is that, there are some things you might be able to do to actually accelerate the fulfillment and breakthrough. Are you interested to know what these are?

On this episode of the Positioned to Prosper podcast, I'm sharing the main thing you can do to see God's word come to pass in a way that feels faster. I'm also giving you the 4 questions you can ask of God at any moment to position yourself for faster breakthrough. Are you ready to get into this? If so, I want you to grab your Bible, your journal and a pen, and . . . Let's Go!

  • Real Faith Requires Radical Trust

#108//  Do you know the difference between Trust and Faith?  I believe one of the reasons that the people of God do not see more breakthrough and manifestation of the promises of God is because we don't understand that there is a very real and important difference between trust and faith. When we don't understand there is a difference and what role each of these plays in bringing the Kingdom, we will settle for saying things like "I'm totally believing for that" without having the substance of faith anchoring that declaration into the living Word.

Trust (elpis) is a forerunner of real faith (pistis). It is the awareness and focused attention and action of trust that "connects" us to real faith and creates the substance of God's word being manifest. (James 2:14-26) But we've not been teaching this in Church. We've let people believe that somehow we have to just "believe harder" to see the promises come. But that's not it. We actually need to disciple the Church on how to place radical trust first, knowing that Hebrews 1 is truth when it says that "faith is the substance of things hoped (trusted) for . . . ." When we catch this and really receive it, we will connect to the real kind of faith that inherits the promises of God (Hebrews 6:12).

On this episode of the Positioned to Prosper podcast, I'm sharing a message I preached this past Sunday at my home church, REVIVE Church of Tampa. We're talking about the real, theological differences between trust and faith, why it's truly pivotal to know the difference, and how to place radical trust to see your faith literally come alive to bring the Kingdom. Are you ready for this? If so, I want you to grab your Bible, your journal and a pen, and . . . Let's Go!

REVIVE WOMAN · GIRL'S NIGHT OUT: Our next Girls Night Out event is happening Friday, November 18th at 7pm ET, and we will be continuing the conversation around placing radical trust. We'll be telling stories of how God invited us into a place where radical trust became possible for us. It will be a truly anointed time where you can be refreshed, encouraged and filled up by the One who knows how to resurrect and give life. If you're in the Tampa area, come join us in person! Not so close? We've got you covered with online streaming. Either way, go here to learn all the details about this upcoming event that is sure to encourage, equip and empower you to be a woman who makes a bold and confident sound into this earth for Jesus and His Kingdom.
