OK, maybe not that flying chimpanzee part. It's summer everyone!  How does that make you feel?  Recently I was going through photo albums, very old pictures of people I love when they were mere babies and maybe a bit older than that.  One thing that struck me is how I remember those scenes displayed before me now on bits of colored paper.  I remember the laughter, I remember the fun, I remember the love.  Know what I don't remember?  How much anyone weighed, whether or not we ate too much or how anyone looked in a swimsuit.

If you're dreading summer fun, beach adventures, pool parties or even just wearing shorts out in public, know you are not alone. Know also that you are perfect exactly the way you are and if someone wants to pick on you or put you down just because of your size or shape...well, they don't deserve you anyway.  That's where we're beginning today's show...who knows, we just might end up with flying chimpanzees!

NARD or National Animal Rights Day was just a couple of days ago and happens each year on June 4th. It's an international event and 2017 was the third event for Toronto. Join animal rights activists Jenny McQueen  Karol Marocho, organizers for this event, that attendees called the most moving and impactful event they've attended, as they carefully cradled the bodies of dead animals, to help observers make the connection between the animals they were seeing and the food on their plates.

I've done a lot of these types of shows, even before Animal Chatter, both Leah and I were very active in animal causes.  Our guest today is not only very active, he is one of the most passionate voices in animal rescue today. From the southeast Dallas TX animal dumping ground of Dowdy Ferry Road, Jeremy Boss does what he can and what many people think is the impossible and with little support.  Pictures on his facebook pages make most people cringe, yet he continues to post them because, well, people have been in denial for too long.  Jeremy truly is on the front-lines of animal abuse and rescue and I know even if you are uncomfortable with some of the things he says...this is a very necessary conversation.
