HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

M. Night Shyamalan and end of the world stuff- should be a match made in heaven given his style and love for mystery and intrigue.  While it's a solid movie with some great ideas, it's still not anywhere near the caliber we know he can produce.  What happened?   Tune in.  Find out.

Jennifer Lopez is always a sure bet it seems.  Her brand works well in the world of comedy.  Following up last year's wonderful Marry Me, Shotgun Wedding is not quite as polished- though it is rated R and brings that kind of comedy, which she and her co-stars do well with.  Josh Duhamel seems right at home after all these years- still playing the role of an in shape hunk- This time as an almost retired baseball payer at the end of his game.  You won't be disappointed in Shotgun Wedding.

SHOTGUN WEDDING, Dir, Jason Moore. ( Grayson 6 / Roger 5.5 / Chris 6 )

Colin Farrel, Brenden Gleeson, 1923 Ireland, flying fingers, banshees- What's not to like about this?  The Banshees of Inisherin has more than a few Oscar nominations but does the film deserve them?  Have a listen to our thoughts on it.  Also- Chris finally takes the quiz to see what Hogwarts house he is in!  Exciting stuff.

A great first two episodes.  Dare we say that THIS is the bar for video game adaptions so far?  There is absolutely an argument to be made to that effect.  The Last of Us.  HBOmax.  Watch it.

Gerard Butler.  Zack Snyder's "300" comes to mind for almost everyone when they hear that name.  What come's next?  Probably Mike Banning in Olympus Has Fallen, London Has Fallen, and Angel Has Fallen.  What's next?  Any number of action films.  "Plane" is no different.  A well written, well executed action movie that keeps you hooked and has a twist or two.  You get the deep and gravely Scottish voice with the on screen presence that you've come to expect.

There has been no adaption more eagerly awaited or important to fans of gaming than this.  The Last of Us has MANY awards under its belt and been remastered and remade and, now, adapted for the big screen all in a span of less than 10 years.  Impressive, they name is The Last of Us.  ...And Naughty Dog.  ...And Neil Druckmann.

Tom Hanks is always a force to be reckoned with as A Man Called Otto plays to Hank's strengths while still offering an interesting look into a character we don't see often.  A film about loss, friendship, hope and opening yourself up, Otto will absolutely have you reaching for a Kleenex or two.

Netflix CAN do something right now and again.  The Pale Blue Eye is one of those things.  A very literate and smart script headed up with Christian Bale and Harry Melling delivers what is a very exciting pre Civil War detective story with Edgar Allen Poe when he was a cadet at West Point. Harry Milling steals the show from Bale, which is damn impressive.

M3GAN is surely to be a cult classic, if is int already.  James Wan and Blumhouse sure have cracked the code for both horror and saucy, fun horror, which is great!  M3GAN is also a cautionary tale of what may happen when we let AI get too far ahead of us.  Scary in a way.  Scary but fun!
