Game of Thrones redefined episodic television and had a pretty consistent high quality throughout, with a caveat at the end.   GoT brought back "water cooler" chat on Monday morning in the office discussing the wonderful narrative thread and characters- both rich in detail and on a very sliding scale of likability.  House of the Dragon is much the same.  Set less than 200 years before the events of GoT, HotD is building the world which we have seen previous for 8 years and it does a wonderful job so far.

HOUSE OF THE DRAGON S1 ( Grayson 7 / Roger 7.5 / Chris 7 )

Episode 300!  We are super happy to do a few things on this episode.  A little in studio upgrade, a big budget film to discuss and a reflection on why we watch and how we watch films.  It's a good time!

DC needs a few good wins.  Thankfully, Black Adam certainly is one.  It's on of the better DC properties and it's pretty obvious when watching that DC also thinks so.  A solid win!

Michael Myers has been a Halloween icon since 1978.  Sad to say, Halloween ends does NOT deserve your money or time in what is ultimately an extremely disappointing end to an otherwise awesome icon.

You see something on a videotape and then seven days later...you die.  Oh!  Wrong movie.  Smile is just a little different, though also a very competent thriller.  Jump scare, the name is NOT Smile.  Thankfully.

Allison Janney is absolutely the best thing about Lou, on Netflix.  It is gritty, but not so much suspenseful,  and, unfortunately, doesn't give Janney much to work with.
