Yes, Racism, my kids, who are ages 14, 11, and 7, got real and gave an eye-opening perspective of what they felt it was like to be black in America. The impacts they believed police brutality has had and what challenges they face at school being one of few black kids in the class. As a mom, I realized I could not shield them from the backlash of being black in America.
