Life is precious. I say this all the time and yet today, it feels more precious than ever before. Eighteen years ago, I found myself fresh out of college in a new state and on a new journey of life. It didn't take long for  loneliness to set in so I prayed for a friend to tell my secrets to.  Everywhere I went, I was looking for her....at the grocery store, the mall, the gas station and low and behold, a couple weeks later, I met her at the gym. 
The energy and specificity of the Lord's direction was so strong that I knew it was her! Crystal was her name. That day I met my sister in life and in Christ.
In this episode, I want to encourage you to pray astronomical prayers and wait with excitement and anticipation for God to show up and show out. And while you're waiting, enjoy every lesson along the way because life is precious. Life is fleeting and it's here for the living.

Dreams... They are the gift of the present and the future, the hope of things to come that keep you’re actively excited, aware and awaiting the moment when they become a a reality. I believe that the dreams we dream are a foretelling of what's to come.  
 I believe that anything we dream can become a reality with work and faith and our next guest feels the same way.  
 
 Meet Sonya aka SoCo.  She is a workshop facilitator, a visual artist and a motivational speaker who knew that at the age of five, she wanted to save the world.  She considers herself "the late bloomers bloomer and the underdogs underdog. She is at true testament to a dream delayed doesn't equal a dream denied.
 Her fearlessness and ability to never count herself out allowed her to have patience for Gods perfect timing. 
 
 In this episode, Sonya reminds us that if the Lord allows us to dream it, he will make a way for it to become a reality.  "If you  do one thing to get closer to your goals and have a confession of faith, all of your hearts desires can manifest. It's the thing that leads to the thing that leads to the thing."  Friends, we've got to get to the doing because we ar always in the process of our dreams.

Life's beauty can come with challenging days. In those moments,  our character shines the brightest.  At those times,  grace for ourselves and others has the greatest rewards. The kindness shown without expectation is the most sincere and loving gift of all because when we give, our blessing comes from above, not man.  
 So the next time you find it hard to be kind because you may be experiencing your own bout of depression, regret, loss, or hell on earth, remember that you're not alone in your present challenge. The stranger right next to you may be experiencing the same pain so give what you need because life has a way of circling back to you and my prayer is that kindness and grace are your return.

There are things in life that I have wanted desperately. I didn't care what was attached to them, I just knew my desires were stronger than the possible no, ill will, or challenge that came along with it.  When I got those things, I realized my lack of patience and inability to bend were costly. The most expensive price I've had to pay was time.
 I'm learning now to pray a different prayer. One of God's will and not just my own. I'm learning that when I let go of what I think should be, Jesus shows me better because my vision is limited but he knows the pureness of my heart's desire and what it takes to have it.
 My hope for us is prayer, perspective and patience because life's rejection could be because God has better nearby. 

There are times I’ve found myself asking “Why me?” It’s in those moments, I tend to forget the many blessings that have formed and shaped my life. I lean into “Woah is me” and allow myself to feel all the feels. Even though that’s part of my process, I know not to stay there too long because trials and tribulations are going to come.  Just as quickly as I say “why me” I can say “why not me?”  Maybe that test in my life was my setup, my comeback, my growth spurt and I’m no different from you.  Our darkest day can merit our greatest gift.
Sometimes we go through situations for a multitude of people because I truly believe the Lord works in multiples.
Your testimony is just around the bend. Make sure you share it. You could save someone else time, heartbreak, or destruction because the rainbow comes after the rain.

Life is a lot of things. It can be fulfilling and joyful, mundane and repetitive, peaceful and pleasant and oftentimes, unpredictable.  I've found those moments to hold the most challenge because regardless of my chosen stress or mess, my new situation wasn't accounted for.  
In those moments, I'm learning to lean in and on the Lord,  to surrender to the present moment of change, be it an off putting health prognosis, an awareness in a relationship, loss of a  job or your  home.  I'm discovering that my vision  has to shift to receive the lesson and blessing that's coming. Trouble doesn't last always because there is always goodness around the bend.

We are thought leaders of our own present moment. Our words have power. They dictate how we move, how we process and how we proceed. How powerful are you with your tongue? Are you speaking over yourself or belittling your purpose? Are you aware of the fact that our thoughts manifest into our doings, both actively for us or against us?

I challenge you to be your own advocate of successful thinking and praise and watch your world shift. Be intentional with your thoughts so your words can proceed to your greatness. You’ve got this. It’s in the power of the tongue.
