Kristin O'Brassill-Kulfan is Assistant Professor of History and Director of Public History at Rutgers University. Her first book Vagrants and Vagabonds: Poverty and Mobility in the Early American Republic was published by New York University Press in 2019, and she is currently working on research projects about rent distraint, early American subsistence, and public historical interpretations of poverty.
