(continued from Part 1)

Merry Christmas eve......later

So in this second part of our super sized Christmas episode, Jake and I go over some analytical stats that.....ehh don't quite put the Caps in the best light. These are figures that must to be improved at some point if Our Caps expect to be contenders in the future.

To that end he also suggests several deals to remedy said situation. Buckle up because this is the part where it gets just a tad bit hotter than an Easy Bake oven.

Merry Christmas to all our loyal listeners!

In the Mermaid's last appearance of this calendar year before she swims off into glorious holiday revelry.....

It was a 1-1-1 week for Our Caps. Some good things happening, some bad. But mostly Meh. And admittedly due to holiday.....obligations, we were both not as attentive as we should have been. But we DO have an opinion on the bilious bellyaching about Alex Ovechkin.

Next week we have a guest co-host on, Stay Tuned!

One stinker, one loserpoint game, and one shutout win....Anna and I go over it all (ok well some of it) as only we do. The highs the lows, everything in between. And a nice little dig at the Rangers fans while we're at it :D

And yes there's a 49ers reference involved...but for a very good reason!

Cheryl Anne Forster (C4) and I go over the first 4 games of the Caps Cali/Western trip with mixed results. Some bad things, but some good stuff to talk about. Some. Good. Stuff.

After we are done with the recaps, we launch into our annual Quarter pole report now that the season is 20+ games old. Naturally we're pleased with the results so far...

Emphasis on so far. There's more work to do if the Caps want to go....so far.

Thanksgiving US style is all over and we're thankful for the season Our Caps are having so far. Unfortunately every season will have its ups and down and this week's episode includes a rundown of their first loss in six games. We also discuss the loss of TJ Oshie and what the end result may (or may not) be.

Two games, one of which we both had the privilege of seeing live and in person and two wins....can't beat it!

Anna and I go over both games with our usual....detail or attention to it. Naturally we focus on the game against Columbus which was part of our get-together with Robbie Gross of our podcast partners the Sports on the Hill Podcast.

As it also happened to be Hockey Fights Cancer night for Our Caps we have our dedicatios for whom we carry on the fight.

For this week we have brought back three fourths of the stars from Episode 190 where we had our Roundtable discussion with several of our listeners and fellow Caps fans. Before we start there is a quick review of the three games in which the Caps once again went 2-1.

Now that we are about a month into 2023-24, we have gathered Doug Loosararian, Kasey Malone and Willem Bagchus once again to discuss our favorite team's progress. A bit long, but I think you will find the discussion very informative and a great listen. Always a great time when friends get together for Caps talk!

Tune in for an all-new fan-made Caps podcast-- Sucram's Capitals Off Their Chain Podcast  It stars Marcus Lemley and Cheryl Anne Forster, their first episode is out now on Spotify!

Anna and I go over the games in the past week vs. the Sharks, Islanders and Blue Jackets. Another 2-1 week but there's still a long way to go (and grow!) with Our Caps. The trick is not to get too high or low....

In a week where our Capitals won two out of three there were some...unusual circumstances. Anna I go over the goings on as usual.

On a personal note there is also a stern warning to those who take their privilege as fans of both the sport of ice hockey and of the Washington Capitals with no regard to the integrity of the game. Dumbassery is not to be tolerated this year.
